When Cars 3 came around in theatres, I was extremely nervous. The first trailer had shown Lightning McQueen violently huffing popcorn fumes. I had not watched any of the other trailers in case of it showing any more of the horrifically graphic violence. They were banned from my house. “For the children’s protection,” was my excuse of not showing or viewing it within my household. But deep down it was for my own protection. I was scared, petrified even, that Lightning McQueen was going to die in the film.
