The last 2 comments are especially funny given the massive shilling of having nearly every video game video maker promote them on both Early Access release and normal release is the only reason they've gotten any attention at all, and people enabling their ♥♥♥♥ is why they didn't "work on their game" and the core game state is the same as it was on Feburary 3, 2015 despite various reskins being added for classes and areas. Nothing changes your approach, so does it matter the trash mobs you kill before they move look like dogs instead of skeletons?
1: It's not "hard". It's grindy, horribly balanced and mobile like.
2: Most of the content, including bosses and the end game is mostly copy pastes.
3: 99% of the loot isn't even worth keeping so you can sell it.
As for other games. I haven't seen any other devs this brazen that haven't been called on it. The usual subject of their collusion is hipster trash, walking simulators, and supporting the members of their own clique. All of which fits them, and all of which describes devs, media, and promotional outlets. For example: www.oneangrygamer.net/2016/05/critical-distance-has-more-than-a-dozen-conflicts-of-interest-with-silverstring-media/2225/ General promotional corruption here. Now Ctrl+F "Darkest Dungeon". Spoilers: There's hits.
Anyone looking for a "good game" or "not mobile like game" or anything like that will come out empty, case in point: me.
As someone who originally wanted a "Hardcore Roguelike about the stresses of adventuring and making difficult decisions with imperfect information" it can only be described as the biggest gaming related disappointment ever... And if it were merely a shallow game I wouldn't care much, but all the censorship and corruption that's went behind defending its failure is another story entirely.
It's actually never been on mobile but it's designed like mobile trash, it's not just the Newgrounds style visuals. You're more insightful than you know. And the shallow, one dimensional mechanics are only the tip of a massive corruption iceberg. An iceberg that starts with censoring critical users, which is why I'm putting this on your profile and not the thread you asked the question in. Another major factor is heavy shilling, most of the people arguing in favor of this walking simulator have a well defined history of it which you can see for yourself with the View Posts button.
If you want more examples simply express mild doubt or suspicion about the intregrity of the devs, watch the responses instantly become hostile.
so that you can save scum.
thy random come
thy generation be done
in ARPG as it is in crypto
give us this day, our daily grinds
and forgive those, who try to scam against us
and lead us not into low entropy
but deliver us to loot
for thine is the random, the grind, and the rare spawns, forever
