The new characters and items are all very fun and interesting, as expected. All of the new music is sick too, was surprised by that. I completely disagree with comments saying it's too hard - the power creep of cursed items has made the game easier if anything. My only gripe really is that the new map is not different enough to justify doubling all of the achievements and tracking runs separately.

Having played almost every "survivor" game on the market, this is BY FAR the best. No obfuscated stats or progression, great run diversity, tight gameplay, and everything else I could hope for. If you're put off by the silly art-style look past it and try this amazing game.

I love this game. Very satisfying gameplay, and nice community. They are ramping up development lately and I'm excited for what's to come.

The way they captured the essence of DRG and spun it into a refreshing take on a "survivor" game makes it stand out from any other game in the genre. My only gripe at time of launch is that the overclock system really pushes you into having one equipped mega-weapon, maybe two big weapons if you get a lot of experience. This leaves you with two pea-shooters that are basically just giving visual clutter and thinning out the upgrade pool. I don't have an elegant solution to this, and perhaps it clears up at the deepest depths where experience is more plentiful - I hope to find out soon.

The story is somewhat interesting and will last you ~15 hours or so but the bulk of the game and what makes it great lies in the endgame. This game is extremely polished with a myriad of interesting fights and a pretty fun grind to make a "perfect" character. Biggest gripes are 1) not difficult enough, most content is trivialized after 1 run if not immediately 2) The endgame grind is really fun for ONE character. As soon as you think about swapping to someone else or even kitting out a whole party then it's exponentially worse.
Beside that, I think if you find one character you resonate with then this game makes for an amazing playthrough.

I've done 2 difficulty 5 clears now, pretty fun game. Not super balanced yet, but most synergies are usable.

The gameplay and systems are great, I am a fan of all the changes they made in this Reborn edition. The story holds up pretty well given how old it is, and the voice acting wasn't half bad - definitely made it more engaging.

I love this game - there's tons of interesting skills to use and unlock, and more to come. The higher difficulties end up sort of like a bullet-hell with interesting character-building combos. Developer community is nice too, worth every cent.

Unique gaming experience that I'm glad to have been a part of.
