It’s a stealth game up until half the world suddenly dies of organ failure.

The game is a masterpiece, nothing short and far exceeding the definition of the word. It was so good in fact, I had a physical version custom made for 300USD.

It felt wrong missing one, not much else to say.

It’s best to just ignore this one from the Halo story. You aren’t missing anything because the entire plot concluded in this game. Nothing happened and quite frankly we got baited with what was the beginning of something epic for whatever this was. They cancelled any planned dlc presumably in favor of charging full price for another game. Unfortunate really, it seemed like this was an appetizer and the restaurant had issues before we could get the main course. It should be noted that the pace of this game was painfully slow as well and looking back again nothing really happened in the grand scheme of things and its essentially just a little Halo sandbox for you to play in. On sale it might be cool for people who are already invested in the halo franchise but its not worth more then maybe ten dollars.

I picked this game up for the first time this year. I immediately fell in love with it only having even played the main campaign. Additionally it was so good I immediately started a campaign with a new faction after my first win. My suggestion to other players exploring this title is to play it on very hard. This game is ridiculously fun however it is a very easy total war game in comparison to other titles in the franchise. It should also be noted the reason why it is so easy is because the ai receives negligible cheats compared to other total war games. The experience is honest and for players who are constantly left feeling cheated by the 3 full stacks the ai can field each turn, its a refreshing change of pace to play this game where none of that is present.

Its not great, not necessarily bad; nothing is really all that interesting about the game. I used to play it quite a bit when it came out (On Xbox) and have tried to come back to it recently and it is nothing exceptional. Seems like a pretty cut and dry shooter that has a store that contains both overpriced crap and loot boxes. If a standard shooter is what you want I would still look elsewhere, the game play is lacking and promotes the same pay to play model that Rainbow Siege uses. It should also be noted that the game developers or publishers are very political and very vocal about it. There have been times where I have logged into the game to be greeted with a manifesto about the newest thing and why I should feel terrible about it. I would stay away from this one all together, there are other games that provide a superior experience in a less toxic environment.

I am writing this positive review because I noticed that the “recent” reviews have fallen below the “overwhelmingly positive” level. This game is fantastic and should remain in a chronic state of having overwhelmingly positive reviews in both the “recent” and “all time” categories.

Quickly becoming abandonware as they continue squeezing the game for what little profits are left to be made before releasing their next big game. Unfortunate because I used to love this one but the state of the game is becoming much less of a destruction based team game and more of a Low End Shooter mini game attached to a skin store. I have been playing consistently since season 1 and can no longer force myself to open the game anymore so I uninstalled it.

Its difficult to write this review given the nostalgia I have for this series, but it must be done. Halo isn't going downhill anymore, it has officially fallen off. This game other then the fact it holds the name Halo and somewhat resembles halo feels nothing like a Halo game. The multiplayer is still just as dull as it was on launch, nothing about it is fun. It does not play like Halo at all, It does not feel like Halo, yet we are told its Halo. There are other free shooters, doesn't take much to beat the lackluster amount of content in this game so pick any one. The campaign was fun to play, however the entire story was a bait and switch from what we were promised as well as coop features that were said to be available and were only half given to us years later. The story without spoiling anything was pointless and with no projected DLC, a waste of time. Let the series die and let the memory stay as untainted as possible even with the release of this garbage.

Edit: The Steam forum moderators for Halo Infinite ban anyone who tries to point out very legitimate concerns about the game such as the bait and switch we got with the campaign. It should also be noted the Steam forum moderators for Halo Infinite encourage sexually explicit behavior to take place within the community and will ban anyone who voices concerns about that kind of explicit content being added to the game or are not accepting of others and their strange sexual habits.
