And that if the enemy is vastly outnumbering you in every engagement/they spawn in infinite reinforcements it kinda, just ruins the point of dynamic battles.
Since a battle is typically with a set amount of troops (Sure, sometimes you may be outnumbered, and sometimes you may outnumber them. But, there's always a finite amount of enemy to fight.
I am sure I sound like I'm just whining, which I make no apology for XD
I just, I guess i'm kinda of disappointed as I thought the dynamic battles would be similar to the ones back on Men Of War.
I mean there's so many bits about the game that are truly great, the detail is awesome.
The weapons feel like they have impact. There's just some bits I find are weird design choices, at least in terms of the Dynamic Generator (I've not touched any scenarios/campaigns).
8 different squads to begin with on battle 1. But, the enemy is fielding say... 15 different squads. my units are going to get ground to dust regardless of whether I spot them or not.
Now, Iverno, said that enemy units isn't infinite, but, from what I've seen the enemy always vastly outnumbers me. Even on the starting mission. So, even if I spot all their units, which isn't going to happen (unless I turn off Fog Of War, which if I do that kinda ruins the suspense and fun factor) I will be in a tight spot.
And I know Fog Of War only shows all units positions, it doesn't adjust firing distance and units spotting range. The difference is with FOW off, is you know exactly where the enemy is so, you can counter attack easily. But, again, removing that ruins the fun and suspense.
Easiest solution to this "Problem".
Also having fog of war disabled still only allows units to fire within their own visual range.
But, happy to retract it either way ^^
