Game is badly tuned. Not new player friendly. Has some sort of "AI companion" that just goes off and does ♥♥♥♥ by itself like waste gold and attack with little army non-stop.

Feels like game mechanics are created with the intention that the Ai companion will be turned on so playing without it makes you weak over all.

Game is either mass rush or mass tower. No middle ground. AND THEN it has night monsters that will delete you if you are already weak.

GL, hate this game.

BATTLE PASS IS ACTUALLY FOMO. IF YOU DIDN'T BUY IT, YOU CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT/ACCESS IT. ALSO IF YOU DIDN'T BUY IT, ALL YOUR PURPLE COINS ARE JUST THROWN AWAY INSTEAD OF BEING AUTO-CONSUMED TO BUY THE REST OF THE BATTLE PASS.
I thought the battle pass system would work like Helldivers where you could buy them and unlock them as you go. NOPE!

We used to play this game consistently, but now they are Communist Ammo Reserve Agents and have been infiltrated by the Robot scum of the Galaxy. Ever update reeks of robot oil laced button presses. I will be removing this Communist Propaganda Big Government Spy Software from my PC immediately. Democracy has been suppressed in the name of "balance" which literally means no ammo + more trash mobs. That is their update mentality.

The game is a shooting gallery game not a serious simulator. Stop acting like you are poor/broke and need to conserve ammo. Unless the ammo reserves are released I will never be returning to this game.

IT'S A DAMN SHAME.

unless you are rocking a more modern computer with high end components i would hard pass for now.

The mask of many faces is probably the funnest item to have if you like role-playing.

It let's you polymorph into any playable race & sex on a whim and NPC will treat you differently.
For example:
I'm half orc. Do Dialogue, Half-Orc stare as response.
Leave.
Come back as Drow.
Hello Drow, you're friend was here, strange to see Drow on the surface.
Leave
Come back as High Elf.
I already talked to your friend, I have nothing else to share!

For such an under developed game; the game has never crashed on me. But you know there is some jank.

Otherwise, the game is decent.

Lost 100+ hours of progress. Game changed its save format from "Pillars of Eternity II" to "PillarsofEternityII" and all my playtime and cloud saves are now lost in the cloud... Probably for save compatibility with consoles and xbox pass.

I was a Fig Backer, pre-ordered Obsidian Edition, and even own and passed POE 1. Sometime after the turn-based update and the "world bosses" I stopped playing. Today I was hoping to finish the game. I could have sailed into the Storm whenever I wanted... but nah! I wanted to do all the content first.
Well I guess now I can "enjoy" it all over again....

It's not a bad game, and if you are buying it now a days you won't have to worry about losing save files since the game is pretty much finished and abandoned so the devs can make "Avowed".

If you suffer from any type of motion sickness give this game a hard pass. In less that 10 minutes this game had my eyes squinting and head hurting.
I don't know how this game has so many good reviews. The game is literal try hard mode.
Basic guns have 1 shot reload mechanics. You have to play over and over to get things like being able to reload your single bullet gun while zoomed in. They hide perks behind a level wall. Skill can't overcome straight up damage reduction or being able to increase your DPS because of a perk that you have to spend grinding for.
You only ever get 1 free hunter, unless you pay real money for "Legendary Hunters" or take one of the 3 random hunters you get by paying in game currency.
Everything in this game is meant to be timed in such a manner that unless you spend hours developing muscle memory specific to this one game, you will get mauled by generic zombies that attack as if they are on methamphetamine. Miss that head shot, well while you reload get mauled 3 times by a combo attacking zombie that would give Wolverine a run for his money.
That is just the basic gunplay loop. If you don't want to suffer, you can of course drown yourself with hours upon hours of enduring through this slog.
The game spawns you into a map where you travel all the way to the other side of the map and have to survive some sweaty boss that everyone else in the game wants to kill. They place the boss in a spot where you can easily get vultured. Then if you do manage to survive, you have to extract to the opposite side of the map.
It's a glorified 1990's RPG fetch quest!
Finally you reach the extraction point, in a place that forces you to stand out in the open like a giant target sign that reads, "Please shoot me in my head."
Everything in the game is designed to punish you for your hard work and reward someone else or no one with your spoils. Save your money and just grab your next lunch, throw it on the ground, and step on it so you too can experience the same feeling this game gives you.
