CS:GO Review
I bought this game just under 3 years ago and the main factor that has kept me hooked is the addicting nature of the game. The game's very high skill ceiling (on how each gun has a recoil pattern that you have to remember and the amount of team play needed in order to win games) is what makes this game worth playing, if not, even watching the evolution of the game in the future.

This is why i think the game hasn't grown as fast as other fps franchies due to how much skill and dedication the game requires you to have in order to get good. However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing as the unique gameplay is what keeps on making me come back to cs:go. It's easy to copy a game like cod, as an example, but a game like cs:go (or the cs franchise in general for that matter) is something that has been finely tuned to play and feel a certain way that makes the game so special.

People invest thousands of hours into the game because the game rewards you for getting good. It feels good to rekt other players with insta-headshots after investing so many hours into practice and gamesense.

After spending countless hours in deathmatch servers and aim maps you feel a sense of accomplishment that only a few other fps games (Rainbow Six Series for example), to this date, were able to replicate. Games like cod don't give you that same sense of accomplishment when you get a multi-kill. Cs doesn't hold your hand because you're too busy clicking away at the heads of helpless bots for hours on end in an attempt to become the next 'ed-shot machine.

With as many flaws that cs:go might currently have, it is still a very special and influential game that will always be setting the standard on how to do a competitive fps shooter right.
