Welcome to The Quarry! This game was a fantastic game about making decisions along a campfire horror story. With many featured guests/actors, this game really FEELS like you're there and you're along for the ride! Plenty of opportunity to replay events to see what works and what doesn't to really get to see what could turn out with these beautiful graphics and cinematics!

This is what I call a story game! I love being thrusted into a world with deep story, emotion, and questions to discover! I think that this is a fantastic game for people that want a little scary and a LOT of story. With plenty of foreshadowing and character development, this game shines! Some characters are annoying and some are endearing, the language used in this show/game really represents their age and energy of a younger group (which I ended up really enjoying). There are fun moments and moments that are sad, the emotions can really come up when there are deaths or mistakes that you can't take back until you see the game through. This type of game style is what i hope for in the future

I understand that people will need some patience with a game like this, as there are alot of simple walks that may seem monotonous, but this is what the game is designed as, to not rush and really take in that you are there. There are alot of scenes. The whole game is scenes and that is what you're getting into.. This is a cinematic video/game. The overall story is the puzzle and the avenues to take may have large swings into an outcome that rely on simple mechanics that are very satisfying. There is a collection of available information as you play to better understand clues that you’ve gathered, though I never really used it as I wanted a more raw, see what you get experience.

The graphics are what make this game. I use an OLED tv to play and I think that is the best for a dark game like this. It was immersive and exciting with plenty of pops of flair and thrill. I think this game is where the future goes with story based games, it has quite the feel to Detroit: Become Human but with a horror twist. There are some things to note that aren't perfect, and that would be standing models, there aren't any glitching but you will notice hands just aren't as refined as they could seem.

You get a good amount of replay ability to this game, there are sides to pick and things to see would happen if you did it a different way. I'm writing this without playing again but, there are now perks of replaying the game.

This is what i'd like more of in horror story game. I could do another 6 games like this. I cant wait to see more games that decide that there are less mechanical requirements and more emotional push that can really develop an environment. The Quarry is a fantastic trip with plenty of opportunity and exploration into the possibilities. The settings are pretty easy and the whole ride is made to kick your feet up and chill with some jumps! I hope you really enjoy this game as I have!

the game progression needs to be fixed before i play again. the ui is hard af to use and it doesnt feel natural at all. with a game with so few different menus, there is no reason not to have keys with the info at all times. like splitting stacks. its mad unnatural. ugh. im frustrated that i like this game alot. it is cute, cozy, and easy. its a nice game to jump into and relax. so many things are left behind for info, progression and quest items that are so random.

As an avid fan of Apex Legends, it's disheartening to witness the game's decline due to the rampant presence of hackers. What was once an exhilarating battle royale experience has been marred by an overwhelming influx of cheaters, rendering the game unplayable for many. Despite the desire to dive back into the action-packed matches, the toxic environment cultivated by these hackers, compounded by the perceived lack of effective measures from Respawn, makes it difficult to find enjoyment in the game.

Dead Space Remastered brings back the spine-chilling thrill of survival horror with a fresh coat of paint, offering a revamped experience aboard the USG Ishimura that's both visually stunning and narratively engaging. The story remains a highlight, keeping players hooked with its twists and turns. However, while the updated graphics are impressive, the zero-gravity mechanics might leave some feeling queasy, though it's nothing too distracting.

Despite the occasional motion sickness, Dead Space Remastered nails the horror experience, balancing jump scares with a sense of progress. The atmosphere is thick with tension, making every shadow feel ominous. Even though it's a hair-raising journey, it's not too scary to keep players from pushing forward. In the realm of horror games, Dead Space Remastered easily outshines the Resident Evil series, delivering a truly immersive and thrilling adventure.

Overall
I came into this game blind wanting to experience the game without any prior knowledge. I had a blast with the story and I really loved some of the combat engagements. The visuals took me by surprise and was blown away. I can really say I got hooked later in the game and it was an amazing game to experience. But this game felt incomplete and it falls flat from perfection due to lots of bugs, poor immersion, cramped environments, annoying movement in dialogue, issues in cut scenes and the list can go on. I chose to look past the issues to continue to experience the game. I upgraded my monitor and graphics card to play game on high refresh and ultra graphics. I recommend you play this at peak quality or the other issues will drag you through. I knew how great this game would end so I pressed on to see it through. This is a great game and I hope you take the time to experience at its max or else I would wait till HZD2.

Story: I'll address my first issue and go on from there. Its confusing for the first bit of the game and I don’t know why but it did not grip me for the first few hours of the game.. IT GOT BETTER. That's what ill tell people when I talk about it. It sums up later, and it wraps up greatly! BUT. It isnt great at the beginning.
Beyond the game's beginning, what gets you hooked (for me especially) "what happened before now" what was the then, what is the now. So many questions as the game gives you GREAT questions to ask and the slow roll of info and answers as you progress the game is so satisfying.
The little text stories you can discover, and the little audio stories are Awesome! It was a little touch of feeling instead of a fact, or the game telling you what is going on. its just a feeling you'd get by awesome voice actors throughout the game that really added to the atmosphere. Bravo.

Visuals: WOW! AMAZING! Characters look good! The scenery looks AMAZING! The shadows are killer! The creatures are so well designed it is a shame we cant just get some time to admire them, some high quality slow shots would be amazing for some of the creatures. But the game is truly beautiful. The areas are so well thought out and designed.
Talking about it for me wouldn’t do it any justice so this is a game that I recommend you experience and that can be said for a lot of games.

Game play: great game play, I enjoy the rouge like hiding and killing this game has to offer. The skirmishes were enjoyably difficult and there are plenty of resources to play around with. This game very much caters to how you play the game your way. If you want to fight straight up, go for it. If you want to sneak around assassinating everyone, go for it. Do you want to setup traps and have the advantage? We got you. How about sneak past the enemy "cause fk that ♥♥♥♥", we go you covered there too.
There are lots of ways to play the game I applaud that. This is great to see for players to feel like what they want to do in the world is an option.

Open World: The game is vastly open world, it has a lot to offer but there was too much to deal with to really appreciate it.
There are times where I felt that the game was pretty cramped. There was so much space but you could be having a tough battle and walk into another group across the ravine or hill. Then it isnt just a battle of 3 specific enemies its become a fight for survival as you're chased 1 v 10. also there would be animals posted up in spots just to fill a hole it felt like.
There are a lot you can cheese, ill admit there were a few times I decided to cheese and go around cause it was way too tough to not go around (And not sneak by I mean I climbed the hill where I shouldn’t have been able to get to, to get around). There is allot of that available. Rocks you shouldn’t be able to climb up or down, but it is what it is, it doesn’t ruin the game entirely

People in the world: the characters are great, the npc's are poor and clunky. Which isnt a deal breaker, youre the main character so who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about the random towns folk or whatever. I don’t care but as they're apart of the atmosphere and environment so they account for something. My problem is their uselessness as teammates or guards. They really just useful distractions against enemies but nothing else.

Immersion: there was a disconnect for me at the start where you as a player to charater have to learn what they know and overcome the skills to do so. Climbing isnt a challenge at all which was unfortunate. People and merchants are posted up in random spots sometimes.
There are wild aggressive animals right out the gate in your own land, it just didn’t seem to add up. What they were there for to warm you up about the creatures but they did not fit the atmosphere. You ask questions like "how is this even possible", "why is this here", "how would you have tribes and cities running around or merchants trading with enemies on your front lawn"… constantly.

issues
- the sound in cut scenes at the end of the game were switching from my speaker and then my headphones while the audio was set to headphones. lucky i didn't miss the ending with no sound.
- refresh rate drops during cut scenes which was a bummer
- people falling out of the map which is crazy
- the head nodding and eye twitching in dialogue pulls the immersion right out of the game unfortunately.
- finishing the bandit camps would automatically reset you for no reason. (Let me light the fire and then reset the camp plz)
- right after fast traveling to campfire you could recive agro from nearby creatures.
- The level gap between creatures is not evenly placed as you try to progress the story, you could run into some hard fights easily, now add other creatures nearby and you got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to deal with.
- beyond the cut scenes there were lots of audio issues, hearing creatures not there, not hearing sound effects just empty noise. There was lots.
-no banking system to store mods or resources, I constantly had to break things down to make space as my bags would fill and there was no more bag upgrades.

it's not my personal cup of tea,
I think some might like a game like this (LoZ puzzle rooms, and sword but a lightsaber). I enjoyed the beginning and I honestly didn't mind the game much, but there is quite the disconnect for me with the story and the running around. I find the characters aren't as deep as they think they are or supposed to be. The cinematography and the cutscenes are amazing and that's what helped me through most of it. The graphics are great and I like the customizations that you can do, it's not a lot but it's fun.
I don't know if it's me and not having played other sword battle games like dark souls or bloodborne, but the fighting is awful. Dashing around the enemy and the enemy follows like it's hard locked to hit happens almost every fight, It takes away this game's beauty. Clunky style of movement and it frustrates me so much, maybe that's what I'm missing, maybe that's what they intended. But it wasn't a fun experience.
Puzzles aren't too hard but the running around and climbing is just so boring. The need to come back to worlds to use this new ability to open this new area sounds like a fun way to make the game but it isn't what was advertised. I thought there'd be something different about each world with the story of a young jedi but it's the same running around the whole time.
Funny enough though, my favorite parts of the game are when he crawls through the tight corridors, it's actually a cool little scene. All in all, it's a game i'm not happy with because of when I may have been expecting or what it was told it be.

Pros:
Pretty lightsabers
Pretty hair boy
Cute wall-e
Awesome cutscene graphics

cons:
LoZ puzzle rooms... like wall running and jumping around and climbing things wasnt what i expected the game to be.
Choppy sword fights
Not a good story (you really want it to be)
The chore/puzzles take from the story.
