One of the greatest games of all time and pioneer of a whole genre, an absolute must-play game with endless replayability.

I have over 1.1k hours on Destiny 2 at the time of writing this review. I love this game, I genuinely do and I would love to recommend it but I can't. The game itself is great but the lack of significant and interesting content isn't worthwhile your time or money as a new OR returning player.

Cons:
-Content is repetitive, uninteresting, and lacking.
-Loot is either so boring that it isn't even worth a look or so strong that you'll have to be willing to spend dozens of hours grinding for something that might get removed in the future
-Most of the good cosmetics are locked behind the eververse store
-Story isn't very cohesive; opening up plotpoints each season and closing them two later
-Most of the endgame is just spent grinding the same thing over and over so you can be ready for the next season to do it all over again
-Half of the actual content in-game is actually irrelevant
-You have to buy every single DLC, of which half of their content is irrelevant, to be able to stay relevant in the meta
Pros:
-Gunplay is and has always been amazing
-Raids are always fun to run with friends

I didn't mention the massive problem with cheaters on PC or the strike playlist itself because I am mostly a PvP player on console and haven't played the game as much as I used to when Forsaken came out. Destiny 2 is not a horrible game, but it is nowhere near its peak.

This game is no longer what it once was. Sega have utterly destroyed any semblance of what made this game special and my favourite MMORPG to play.

There are "two games" I'll be mentioning here, PSO2 and PSO2 NGS, I'll be referring to each as "PSO2" and "NGS" respectively

It has been a year since the release of NGS and instead of expanding on what made PSO2 great, they neutered the base game and released this new "full game" that can only be described as an early access title with how things are being handled. The moderation team is incompetent and childish, the combat's simplified to a bore, the story's bland, and the endgame non-existent. It's just not a good game. This is not the game that me and many others were promised and is an overall worse experience than what we had. Were you to be a veteran player like myself, you would find that PSO2 has been diminished to a shell of its former self, no new content, an absolutely abysmal in-game economy, and no adjustments to game systems in order to compromise for the large reduction of players playing PSO2. Unless there is a large shift in administration and management for the game, I do not see the game improving at all were things to continue this way.

Goodbye PSO2, I enjoyed the 1000 hours I accumulated across Xbox and PC, and ♥♥♥♥ you Sega for ruining a game that I truly could say I loved.
