EDIT: There is a setting that I didn't notice that allows you to change day length, which makes the issues less stressful from time pressure.

I enjoy the game, however with this not being early access the state of the game is unacceptable in my opinion despite all the positives, certain bugs and lack of clarity make the game stressful instead of a pleasant experience that it would otherwise be. The game has a LOT of positives so I will continue to play and enjoy it but I would prefer if a game I enjoy doesn't stress me out with things that can be ironed out.
The biggest stressors I've had:

First and foremost, the special effects that are by default on make the game, for me, very hard to see what the hell is going on and where I am. Not sure if it's because I'm colourblind, but all the effects that you can't disable one part of, such as depth of field or bloom which I normally turn off, it's either all on or all off with one slider. Turning it all off was a muuuch better experience although a lot more bland.

2 Not all trees and bamboo, even in the first farming area you start in, can be chopped down with no clarification other than the "chop tree" prompt not coming up. This makes gathering wood/bamboo more tedious than it has to be, because you can find a nice area to chop only for them to not be choppable, so you have to find another area. Wouldn't be that much of an issue but throughout the game you are on a time crunch and can't really waste time.

3 The game has horrible collision issues when it comes to your character running around or if you crash your bike into things. For instance, if you crash your bike into one of areas where you can't chop the trees down, and fly into the trees, you will be unable to move out of the area unless you go to the "ESC" menu and go to your last sleeping location which could be a long ways away and could ruin your whole day if you were on a time crunch. One example of this negatively affecting my game was that I got stuck on rocks by a dock trying to find an area to fish for the fishing contest, I had no way to escape, I was stuck in a small area of water surrounded by invisible walls and rocks that I couldn't climb to get out, so I had to go back to my last sleeping area, but by the time I got back to go fishing the contest time was already up so I had to restart the whole day.

4 Some things are not explained well at all, even the wording in some quests which causes a ton of stress and can be pretty much impossible to figure out without outside help. I have two examples of this, first is the fishing contest mentioned previously. Not only did I get stuck trying to find an area to fish, but the contest itself is very poorly explained, I would have never figured it out without outside help. It basically just says the fishing contest starts at 10am and ends at 5pm, with no indication of how to start it. You have to walk to the normal festival area, find Kyle, the fishing guy, but not use his shop. Problem is that none of that is explained AT ALL, and his shop is basically an invisible area that will make you shop even if you're standing right next to him unless he's outside the area of it. It also doesn't tell you what fish it will be beforehand, so you can't prepare beforehand, though the fishing shop is right there so if you have the money to buy a new rod and jigs it's not that big of an issue.
There was also a quest (an INTRODUCTION to taking photos of wildlife) that gives you the wrong directions in one aspect entirely. The quest says: get a photo of a bird, of a bug, and a PHOTO of a fish. Problem is, fish don't appear when you're not fishing so getting a photo of a fish is actually impossible. I pretty much gave up on this quest until I had to look it up, and turns out the wording is off entirely. You turn in a fish that you CATCH, not a photo of a fish, but everything on the quest says photo, the description, tracker, everything.

There are some other minor issues but that's mostly just preference by me. Such as, I like to take my time with games like these but the time on this game goes by very fast in my experience, especially with how big the map is and how far spread out everything is.

Overall there is a LOT of good in this game, huge plant variety, the plants look like they really do, they grow like they really do in regards to perennials/annuals, I like the character's personalities and I really like the art style. But those kinds of big glaring issues in a non early access game in my opinion is unacceptable, collision issues especially should be ironed out before releasing a full release game or it just feels incomplete no matter how good the game is otherwise.
