Rockstar and/or TakeTwo in their infinite piles of money, I mean, "wisdom", have decided to use BattlEye for anti-cheat and have stated they have no intention on enabling Steam Deck compatibility. Even if it's as simple as reaching out to BattlEye to have the game enabled for Steam Deck.

Meaning, you won't be able to play GTA Online on Steam Deck and Linux. Really makes you think about GTA6 compatibility, doesn't it?

Six years later and they're still pouring content into this game.

They've revamped basically everything about the game numerous times and the only thing holding them back at this point is the engine.

Thank god Payday 3 isn't going to be using it.
