lit game

Hey everybody! Today I decided that I'ld start actually playing all the games that I have on my account and, to make it more fun, I thought I'ld start writing reviews to each and every one.

So, let me start:

Autumn is a relaxing and tranquilizing experience. I personally have never encountered a game that is similiar to this. The developer goes in a completely new and interesting direction.
Before you buy this game: I'ld definitely like to mention that Autumn is not some sort of casual game (you probably should have noticed this already) and you probably won't spend alot of time playing this. Not because it's not good, but because there's not much to do. No matter how relaxing the experience may be, it gets boring after some time. Personally, I like playing this game the most, when I'm hanging out with friends on Teamspeak. I like reading quotes out loud and being satisfied with how wise and perceptive people can be.

I will now continue with the pros and cons:

[+]:
+ calming music
+ visuals have a clean and modern design (menu, world, tree)
+ interesting quotes and philosophies that might open your eyes (they most likely won't, but they are still interesting)
+ slide-puzzles
+ world harmonises well with the music

[-]:
- game crashes every now and then with lua errors (you keep your items and quotes though)
- can get boring
- hard to understand at first, you will probably need to read the manual
- minor bugs, for example: game going out of fullscreen if you click space bar while naming your tree/world (can't get back in fullscreen)
- the wind in the winter season sounds like somebody breathing in his microphone

The negative aspects barely influence the overall "gaming" experience.

All in all I must conclude that this game is not comparable with other games. It's a unique experience that one might not be patient enough for. However, if you feel to be tolerant enough for a game of this sort, I would recommend you to go for it.

7/10 - Definitely worth it's 2,99€. (even cheaper depending on where you buy it ;))
