Probably the best building game I've ever played. The ability to truly customize your class is awesome and the game just looks great.

This is a very punishing survival game with a rewarding learning curve. The game and (mostly all of) it's players are trying to kill you, and your play style can change from spawn to spawn. I'd recommend this solely based on my enjoyment so far and overall have had a positive experience. I truly love the variety of survival mechanics and learning how to overcome them. The use of terrain association and constellations to navigate helps give a feeling of true outdoors survival. There are a few beginner learning curves which I will not spoil because that is one of the funnest parts of the game. Dying. A lot. It's not a matter of if, but when. But more often than not, you will have learned something new. Whether it be "oh, I didn't know wolves could smell my cheeks from 1 km away" or "WHO THE F*#K PUTS A TRIP WIRE IN A HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE", you will be learning something to better survive on your next run.

I only have two big gripes about this game:
1. Absolutely terrible anti-cheat system with a convoluted reporting process that leaves you not even knowing if action was taken. That along with a lot of cheaters makes official servers undesirable. Dying in a legit fight leaves you able to review your play and learn. Grinding for hours and dying to a cheater leaves you feeling, well, cheated. Find a good community server to play on, thankfully there's a lot.
2. Building system is just bad. If you're at all into building a base to store loot and feel somewhat stable, the vanilla building system is abhorrent. Again, this can be solved by choosing a community server with base building mods that are instant QOL improvements to a base building lover like myself.

It can take some searching to find a decent community server with mods that will suit your play style. Some are very basic and some entirely dilute the true DayZ experience, so choose carefully.

Holy sh*t this is fun. Needs the player base to grow to reach its true potential. The developers did an awesome job on this one.

If you enjoy survival games with building, this is a lot of fun. Played with a small group of friends and I've enjoyed it. The only con is it can be a tad buggy, but overall that didn't affect my ability to enjoy the game. Looking forward to future updates and I can see myself jumping in just to have fun sledding and ziplining lol.

I was not expecting this to be as addicting as it is. It's a pretty straight forward eco/city builder theme with a survival edge. The main questline is actually pretty good, though the goal of the game is not solely to complete it. It is very grindy when it comes to unlocking the higher end items and I'm not even close, but it's a challenge I'm actually ok with. The graphics are also a great example of what Unreal Engine is capable of. Overall, I'd say if you are into a single player rpg builder to suck your life away, this is it.

There are so many highs and lows of this game, but overall it is worth it. The important thing is picking the server you play on and who you play with very carefully. Different people have different play styles which can clash, and some servers are teeming with hackers who face little to no punishment. You'll have the best experience doing what you enjoy and expecting to log on to a raided base.

This is one of the most amazing games ever made. There is so much progression, building, and exploration to do. I'm not even done yet and I can say that I am without a doubt in love with every aspect of this game. The graphics are deceivingly undemanding, and whatever designer tricked me into seeing HD deserves an award. This game is stunningly gorgeous despite having low res textures.

TLDR: If you like building, survival, and vikings this is your game!
