Despite its seemingly slow gameplay from an outside view, FTL is deceptively panic inducing and fun. It's story is... barebones at best, you have the simple stuff of "this is what happened, go do thing." which is barely explored, don't get me wrong! there's story if you look for it, but it's far from the best reason to play the game is the combat, and the ominous music that harmoniously keep you on the edge of your seat.

what can i say about this game, that hasn't already been said before?

the game is an absolute classic, a well crafted and well executed experience,

the different biomes are so vastly different from each other, the underground is just as fun to explore as it is treacherous in early game

the movement, oh god the movement... moving in this game makes you feel like a badass, and it's the biggest hit of dopamine, for me at least

the music hits home, each song displaying the current emotion you should be feeling in each area

the game doesn't really have a story but who really cares? the fact that you have no idea what's going on is part of the charm of the game

I can't recommend a game more than this, playing it with your friends is an unforgettable bonding experience
