I absolutely loved Cities Skylines 1, dedicated so many hours into building gigantic cities with a lot of public transport and mods which would completely eat my CPU, GPU and RAM to bits but I couldn't get enough. 12FPS was what I would usually receive and honestly I was fine with that.

CS2 performance issues have been bad but not catastrophic to a point where I wanted to refund the game. After some fiddling in settings, I was able to make the game run to an acceptable degree. I will say it is really disappointing game developers have grown accustomed to this practice of shipping something broken and patching it as the days roll on. A lot of this stuff should of been fixed before release, but once you tweak it enough, it runs fine.

The game itself; great, a lot of good improvements especially with roads. Easier than ever to build large grids, expand your city, huge amounts of workable space even in vanilla, upgradeable services, Industry and office spaces etc. I can't really fault this game aside from the day 1 performance, everything else is a great upgrade.

It does suck there's no workshop support but I'll have to see how this paradoxmods thing goes. I just wish this game did come out in 2024, give the developers more time to polish this instead of rushing to a release date. Otherwise, solid sequel. 7/10
