Do not forget that when you gaze into Minsc, Minsc also gazes into you.

The whole time of playing this game, it felt like watching one of the Studio Ghibli movies. The character design is just spot on and the walled city is visually captivating with its array of vibrant neons.
There are a lot of small, eye catchy details and the game is full of pop-cultural references.
It's a linear experience but the story and lore are really nice - definitely something in the "For a brief time, I was here; and, for a brief time, I mattered" style.
It's a short game, but I had a lot of fun playing it. I can't remember when was the last time I had a such great time playing a video game.

Early Access Review
I've been observing this game for a long time and finally decided to give it a go in the early access.
It's a very interesting combination under the heavy influence of titles like "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." and "Escape from Tarkov" (probably mixed together with Satrdew Valley XD)
It may look simple but the game can be very demanding and offers a good challenge on each run.
I'm very curious about how it will look when it reaches ver. 1.0 because it's already pretty solid.

It's like a love letter to the fans, written by a deranged, cannibalistic psychopath who has killed your love and is wearing their skin as they write.

When they said they're doing a game (Phobia Game Studio to be precise) inspired by the Carpenter's vision of "Who goes there." I was happy like hell and I knew they will not fail.

"...I don't know what the hell's in there, but it's weird and pissed off, whatever it is..."

In "Carrion" you play as an unidentified organism of unknown origin. Imprisoned in the vast facility you start your journey for "freedom". There's very little information about the creature or its origin and the game doesn't provide any answers for the most important questions. Everything basically forms one big mystery. It makes the monster far more terrifying - "...strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown..."
The creature is designed perfectly and it instantly reminds of the infamous "The Thing".
Mass of flesh capable of assimilating facility personnel to grow and develop a vast array of useful abilities to turn itself into unstoppable terror.

"...Now I'll show you what I already know..."

The game features a truly beautiful and grotesque pixel art style. It's full of small and eye-catchy details and every level made me stop for a while to just look around if I can spot something interesting.

Facility personnel is also very well designed and animated - terrified and unarmed scientists or armed and dangerous cyborgs who are more than capable to kill the creature if it's out in the open and vulnerable. Human enemies reminded me of the games like "Another World" or "Flashback" - they move in a similar rotoscoped way.

The creature is also very pretty in its own way. The way it moves or grows after assimilating enough biomass is brilliant. Animations are very smooth and dynamic - even at the maximum size, the creature doesn't lose much of its speed and is still capable of squeezing through tight places.
It's just fun to watch how it grabs everything with tentacles or simply tear apart everything and everyone standing in its way.

Gore and blood effects are amazing. Blood is literally everywhere and it generates a wild satisfaction when walls are slowly getting soaked in blood or corpses are flying around.

"...If none of us make it, at least there'll be some kind of record..."

The soundtrack composed by Cris Velasco is very subtle and fits the game perfectly. It features some really cool and eerie tracks and I really enjoyed its suspense.
Few tracks had the feel like they were taken straight from some kind of a monster movie.
Really good job.

"...Any way we can we fix it?..."

This game isn't perfect and it's obvious. It's very short and will take you an average of 6-7 hours to 100%. There's also very little value to replay it, but I'm sure the devs will add workshop or other tools to mod it and this will make it a lot better.

Many people have complained about the lack of map/minimap - it wasn't the issue for me, but I can totally understand it. It would be cool to have an option to turn the map in the game options for example or do something like Metroid/Castlevania map system, but
with the game's "meaty" aesthetics.

Price is another issue - it's expensive for such a short title, but personally I think that the money I paid was well spent. I appreciate the work the devs put here and I prefer to pay them instead of giving my money to EA or Bethesda for example.

...Why don't we just... wait here for a little while... see what happens?...

I'm sure the devs and community will make this game alive with custom maps and features or maybe we will get some more content directly from Devolver. Only time will tell.

It's a very cool drawing software. It may look quite simple, but it's more than enough to do draw something good. I can't really say much more because I can't use its full potential, but I'm very pleased with it.

I've played a ♥♥♥♥ ton of this game on the PS2 and it's one of my favorite ones on this platform. Now I can finally play it on the PC.
Okami is a beautiful tale accompanied by a stunning visual style and absolutely gorgeous music.
To me, it's a perfect example of how the games should be made - with passion and love.
It's a beautiful and underrated gem. Undoubtedly Clover has created a masterpiece. - 10/10

It's a true sandbox game where you have to make or find your own fun. For some, that will be great ( like pirating, trucking, fighting, exploring, etc).
For others, the lack of storyline will be a drag.
Elite is gorgeous and truly lets you define your own narrative, so it really comes down to what YOU want from the game.
It truly shines in VR.

Sir-tech's final entry in the series does not dissapoint. I've played Wiz8 a long time ago and now it's finally available on Steam.
It's not perfect, but it's damned close. It can be very difficult for a new player who never played Wiz series before.
For the first time in Wiz series you will see a completely 3D environment - game is still quite pretty for its age.

Player can create a party and fully customize each party memeber (like class, skills etc ). Each character has its own dialogue, animated portrait, and unique voice tone. The characters and the way they interact with each of the NPCs have come a long way since Wiz7. Your personality, communication skills, and the way you and the NPCs view each other all determine what happens during a confrontation. You can talk by either typing in complete sentences (like: Where is XXX?), and also by selecting words from your already memorized ones.
Combat system is very good IMO. Player can setup all party members in a formation that could be anything from *fighters in front and ranged characters behind* to a *fighters in the middle and casters on the sides*. Player can setup virtually any formation desired. Either way you will be able to change the way your party attacks/is attacked and do so on the fly, letting you devise a new formation during battle to adapt to the new combat situation.
I highly recommend this game - it's difficult but very rewarding. It's definitely an underrated gem.
