Recent updates have made the game enjoyable, and stable. It still doesn't have the complexity of the DayZ Mod (Arma II or III), but has a more stable and consistent experience. They seem to bring a bit more complexity and depth with each update. The game is worth trying if you've never; or if you haven't payed in a while, trying it again.

A game to make you... love to hate, or hate to love; to play with your friends, "friends", and frenemies.

While the release date was late 2016, a close group of friends and I have been playing this since the early stages, back in 2014. Its as fun as the first day, its as infuriating as the first betrayal. It will seed new friendships, kill weak friendships, tax strong friendships, and reinforce exceptional friendships. With a strong, community friendly workshop and new maps being added all the time, the replayability of this game is exceptional.

Its is my strong opinion that a controller is advantageous over the keyboard for a few reasons:
1. If you've ever played console games, a controller will feel most natural.
2. If you've never played console games, a controller will feel more intuitive.
3. Less chances of missed or fault commands with controller, MANY keys to trip you up/confuse while learning with a keyboard.
4. In my opinion, the game uses an uncommon/difficult default keyboard layout, and rebinds are necessary.
5. MUCH easier to comfortably game at a distance on the couch, in bed, standing up, etc., than using a keyboard.
6. If you ever end up being asked to play it on console at a friends, your controller expertise will come in handy.
7. Wrist and shoulder fatigue are much less, though your hand/finger stamina will go through an adjustment.
