Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order really surprised me. I’m not a big fan of the Star Wars movies, but the universe has always intrigued me. I had no real expectations for this game, but I just couldn’t stop playing.

Jedi Fallen Order delivers an immersive experience from start to finish. Let’s start with the story. The story is interesting and has some nice plot twist and good cinematic's. You meet interesting characters along the way with which you build a real relationship. The story brings you to some unique and beautiful locations and although there are not a lot of planets you travel to, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. As the story progresses, you unlock new mechanics to travel to places you couldn’t before. This makes it so that each time you come back to a previously visited planet, you can travel to completely new parts of the map and the maps itself are quite varied in terms of environments.

Jedi Fallen Order is a Souls-like game but not nearly as hard as the famous Souls-like games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring etc. You notice it mostly in the fact that you need to find mediation sights to save the game and refill heals, which will also act as respawn points for when you die. and of course there is some focus on blocking and learning enemy movement patterns, but it’s really not that hard in this game. The focus of this game is more story with some bosses, instead of bosses with some story. So the times you really encounter a boss that takes multiple tries to defeat is countable on 1 hand.

Throughout the game you earn skill points, get stronger and learn new moves and mechanics. You can find cosmetic items to customize your lightsaber and ship and all of this together combined with the earlier mentioned environments, gives the game lots of progression.

I really enjoyed playing Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. It's not often I play a single-player game this much in such a short amount of time, but I just kept coming back and every time I had just 10 minutes, I found myself booting up the game to just play a little bit.
