The game itself has great and in-depth lore, has countless things to do and enjoy, many different unique builds to experiment with and has such a nice and welcoming community. the events are insanely fun and its a great experience with friends. i cant tell you how much bethesda has done to improve the gameplay as of recent such as adding proper NPCs, good storylines (both wastelanders and steel dawn/reign) as well as adding some good QOL features such as crafting sliders and S.P.E.C.I.A.L respecing/loadouts.

its just a shame that this is all overshadowed by core gameplay improving features such as the scrapbox and survival tent being locked behind a monthly subscription paywall when both of those features should be universal. keep in mind this wouldn't even be a complaint from me if the subscription itself costed no more than 10$, but right now its just short of 20$. i also probably wouldn't complain about this if the full price of the game wasn't 54$.

you basically have to spend 220$ a year to experience this game to its fullest, which is money you could have spent buying roughly 4-7 other games, buying 14 extra large pizzas, or spending it on literally anything else that isn't fallout 76. or alternatively you can spend 130 bucks and buy the full year subscription of fallout 1st! what a steal!

I want to be able to write a review on this game without mentioning fallout 1st, but i just cant.

i play this game a lot and will continue to play it because i enjoy it, i genuinely do, and if you like fallout games, you will probably like this, honestly. I hope the quality improves, because right now, fallout 1st feels like less of a luxury and more of a must have.

there is a robot dog with graplinng hooks and a fat jewish midget with a sniper. 10/10 would play again
