They made multiclassing even better

As someone who's only Sonic game they have finished is Generations on the 3DS, this one's good. God bless Ian Flynn for knowing how to make these characters actually enjoyable and to all the voice actors for knowing how to properly portray the lines they're given. As for gameplay, it does a good job blending the platforming controls and the very simple action system, but tbh, simple is good as a lot of the complex parts come from said platforming and positioning yourself properly. I'm glad the regular levels don't have the action combat built into them though and focus purely on speed. I feel like if the team behind this wanted to remake Unleashed in a similar style as this one, or make a second Unleashed game, it would actually feel good, but that's a tangent. Point is, I 100% completed the first island and haven't done anything else yet but I'm genuinely looking forward to the rest of the game.

The one part I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated though was the quick time event button mash one button to avoid an instant kill attack and then having to farm rings before being able to redo that boss fight. I had to program a turbo macro into my steam deck immediately after that happened because I was literally a pixel off filling the meter and there's zero indicator of how much time you have left OR that you'll die instantly. But every other moment playing this game has been great and I'm glad my friend gave it to me when I said I was probably gonna skip out on buying it.

It isn't Cyber Sleuth but I'm mostly just glad it's finally out.
