Oh boy... This game wishes it was what FTL actually is. Enjoyable and fun.

It's fun maybe for the first couple of runs, but once you figure out that it is completely up to RNG whether or not you're screwed, it wears off fast. At least with FTL I can LEARN from my mistakes, and account for and use new strategies on future runs, which leaves a feeling of reward. There is no sense of reward or learning from losing here with this game, which in my opinion, is part of the fundamental foundation for a roguelike game.

The core mechanics are there, but outside of the co-op aspect, everything is completely worse than what this game is trying to imitate. I could go into depth about all the problems I have with the mechanics, but it's really not worth my time after countless failed runs due to just ♥♥♥♥ RNG/Balancing combined with ♥♥♥♥ mechanics. That's also not even including the bugs, which there's still a lot of and some of them are considerably game breaking. They will probably go unaddressed as this game is seemingly no longer supported or updated.

Stay away at full price, maybe picking it up on a heavy discount or from a bundle.

My recommendation is to buy only on a heavy discount. Game play loop can be fun and addictive, but the massive amount of bugs and headache that arise along the way completely subtract from any positives I could say. The fact that their making another DLC before even fixing any of these issues is beyond me. Will not be purchasing it.

Just one example, It took me three hours to finish the last mission (should've taken only an hour), because the game decided that guards can see me through walls, taze me through a wall, cops that searched way longer than they're supposed to (like almost 5 minutes real time, normal is 1-2 minutes), and cameras that decided to turn back on immediately after cutting the wires at the panel to shut them off.

That's just a few of the "minor" annoying bugs. I've had random cop calls because they "discovered a burglary" when nothing had even happened yet (I had literally just arrived at the location, not even on the property). I've also had happen (only once thank God) a cop search, leave the area, and then warp out of his car halfway down the road; Run back into the complex, run right up to the dumpster I'm hiding in and taze me even though I had no detection. Oh, and getting stuck on every stair known to man (crouching or walking) which was absolutely infuriating to a whole other level; That's some early 2000's level of collision right there.

For those who are looking for an RTS like Starcraft, C&C or AoE, this game probably isn't for you. While this game does keep pace like C&C or Starcraft, there is no building element outside of your FOB (Foward Operating Bas), the main goal is to push back either the NATO or the PACT forces. You can call in things such as infantry, armor, helos, jets, etc (No water vehicles yet). The replay value in this game is not in the SP, but in the MP portion, as you get to test your skills against others, and every battle is seemingly different. This game holds up well graphically and can be run on a majority of computers. This game is not for the inexperienced as it is fast, and too many slip ups could cost you the game. This game is not for casuals! (Just kidding! Although the learning curb on this game can be pretty steep.) I highly recommend this to any serious RTS player who is looking for something new, or just something that is fast paced, this game is for you.

This game, while it has it's bugs (it's in beta, what do you expect?) is very amazing. It's this massive, endless, universe that is yours to explore, in all reality this game doesn't have an end, it ends when you want it to. It takes all the elements that you loved from Terraria, and bumps it up a few notches by adding guns, mechs, bigger and more in depth character sprites, better animation, and a lot more. I do highly recommend this game for anybody who is a space genre lover, sandbox lover, or anybody who has played Terraria, and to anyone who is contemplating on purchasing this game. (Do keep in mind that this game is in beta! Which means there is, and will be bugs.)

This game, is not only a timeless classic, but it is also a game that made the next step in "next-gen" graphics (as far as next generation goes for the 90's). Let's be honest here though, when it comes to older games it's not about the graphics, now is it? The things that make this game so good is the story, the characters, and the timeless and classic style of rpg gameplay. As with all games there are some bugs, none of them are to major that they'll break the game. So if you're feeling nostaligic, or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend this game to you.
