I will likely be working on a video to go into further detail and hopping onto my soap box further critiquing this game, so look out for a link in the comments for this if/when that happens. I want to say in advance that I still enjoy this game and always love a zombie-killing good time, however, I feel this game needs a lot of love and attention from the developers in order to live up to the hype and expectations I had. I feel like Turtle Rock splitting from Valve and using Unreal engine is partly to blame for some of these issues, so I will also say that I understand how we got here. This game takes a lot of steps backward from Left 4 Dead 2, even though it's supposed to be the spiritual L4D3 we'd been waiting for. The AI when it comes to Cleaners is lackluster - many times I've ended up playing where half my team is bots, and they're literal BOTS. They don't free you from getting hocked or crushed, they often have problems with pathing, and you're lucky if they can even revive you (also learned that if you and your friend both die and it's just bots left they will just stand there) mind you, they've definitely got aim bot goin for them.. so there's that. The Ridden AI is, on the other side of the coin, insanely good. They can smell your fear, and they usually spawn in groups (I've seen as many as 12 mutations on the field at once, it ain't pretty). Good luck ever getting through nightmare unless you find the absolute most broken card deck for your preferred Cleaner, and you have three friends who have done the same (personally I've only found a melee build that allows me to stand a chance, but it definitely cannot be done with bots). Everything does too much damage, except for the people who have guns and explosives. Got puked on and there are blighted ridden swarming you and adding to the acid on the ground? guess you'll just die in, like, five seconds. Seriously, I've put in enough hours in "Swarm" to tell you that a couple of tall boys (bruisers tend to wreck the most booty) and a retch/reeker combo can put a whole team of 4 down in 26 seconds... so when PvE throws 4 tall boys, 3 reekers, 2 hockers, and lord knows how many stingers at you... it ain't fun. The guns are hit or miss (not meaning just the accuracy problems *lookin at the Barrett*) but also the gun feel/ damage output. Sure, early on if you grab the M249 you feel unstoppable and you pick off common infected like ants with a magnifying glass - but go further in the campaign or up the difficulty and go up against a couple of bruisers you feel like you're throwing marshmallows at them. A lot needs rebalancing, for both PvE and PvP reasons. Not to get too deep into my opinions on Swarm - I'll sum it up (mostly, I hate it). The community is toxic. People keep leaving before the match starts (which boots everyone back to the lobby) and I feel that needs to be penalized. People will insta-lock their cleaner/ridden mutation immediately without conversing with teammates about their decks/preferences. People will leave during the match and you don't even get a bot, let alone a more competent human being filling in and being compensated accordingly. If you've already won a round and the enemy team leaves it'll boot you back to lobby without at least giving you some points for your troubles. There's 100% a meta revolving around having a doc and a mom on your team if you want to survive long. The meta for the infected varies from map to map, but big and tall boys seem to always be a safe bet (unless you can grab them as the stalker and pull them off the map). In general, PvP isn't fun (even if you're the winning team). I had very high hopes for this game, I hope enough people see this and feel the same - maybe eventually the right people will see this and do something about it.

Absolutely must-play game! Superb gunplay, fantastic mobility - all around game boner!
