A love letter to all rhythm games

This game doesn't have any reviews yet, so I thought I would share my first impressions on it.

Upon launching the game for the first time, I see that there was a real effort in the presentation, the environment is pretty, although the orange sky is a bit odd (maybe a cyberpunk blue or purple would fit better? idk)
The first problem arose when I started the tutorial. Having it voice acted was a nice surprise but I literally couldn't get past the "Slashing" part. I kept pushing and releasing the grip to no success, maybe I just misunderstood how you're supposed to do it, I'm not the smartest person out there, but I couldn't get it to work at all.

Moving to the actual game, it's a nice gameplay loop but gets repetitive really quickly. And slowmo is absolutely broken, the cooldown should be increased to 30 seconds or something, because you can basically do an entire run in slowmo if you wanted to.
Funny bug I noticed too, activating slowmo before dying will cause the restart bar to also be slowed down.

Recommendations I would have to make it more fun :
-Add powers / upgrades you can get during gameplay, some temporary powerups, as well as something like coins to buy permanent upgrades you could be able to swap between (something like having 2 lives, having another sword, maybe even skins for the sword like a chainsaw or a crowbar), runner games like Subway Surfer or Jetpack Joyride do this really well
-Make abilities point based instead of time based, this would reward trying to get as much points as possible, instead of just playing it safe until the cooldown is over
-Add a little more variety between enemies, once again, it would make the game a lot less repetitive

Final thoughts :
I genuinely think this game has a lot of potential, lots of effort was made in presentation, but as of right now, it's very repetitive and not that fun, but I'm sure it can be improved greatly over the course of updates so I'll give a positive review for now :)
(Also the third video/trailer has a 7 minutes black screen? Probably just an error but thought I would tell you)

This game is okay with strangers, but with friends it's by far one of the most fun games I have ever played

Very nice game

This game made me cry of laughter and scream of fear at the same time

Pretty fun short game, it plays and feel quite nice, although you can just hold the left mouse button with your sword to one-shot pretty much everything.
I'm at the top of the leaderboards right now (1100 something), I dare anyone to do better than me :p

I've only played this game for an hour but I already love it !Really cute atmosphere, quirky characters and great gameplay!
(I got it for free because I won it in a contest in a discord server)
