Basically a Call of Duty Map Pack™. Only bought this because I have doubt about PDX patch compatibility in the future with other DLCs (WtT comes to mind). They often reuse things from other DLCs/Expansions in future ones, so you'll be locked out of those features if you don't have the specific DLC installed. Basically a piggy-backing system. CK2 and EU4 are like this, so it wouldn't be unexpected.

Great game with a very steep difficulty curve. I still haven't beaten the game. I did get farther on PC than on the PS3 (where I originally played this game), but I'd definitely give the game a go. Whilst the style isn't usually something I enjoy (anime and ♥♥♥♥ ), it does have an engaging story and somewhat unique game mechanics.

Not worth it at all. Even for -50% it is very lacklustre and the mechanics themselves seem very haphazard and thrown together. The few games I played as the Commonwealth realms were quite boring. Mainly because beating the AI is extremely easy, even with a Civil War for fascism. India was the easiest of them all, which I expected to be the hardest...

Anyways, quite a dissapointment, and I am quite glad I waited to buy it. Hoping WtT will start putting DLC focus in the right direction.

Amazing Game. Highly recommend anyone to pick it up and at least try it out. Leagues above Fallout 4 in pretty much every aspect (I even prefer the graphics).

I played a ton of this game back on my terrible laptop and it is an absolutely amazing game. I, unfortunately, can no longer run the game as it runs way too quickly for me. However, it's basically what I would call the best HoI game made. It takes all the best aspects of the series (and especially HoI2) and combines them into not just an amazing WW2 GS, but also WW1. The mods available are also great, and to top it all off this game was made by a small team of modders for HoI2 and still gets occasional updates. That's how dedicated these guys are.

Though I don't have many hours on steam, off of it I put in quite a lot. As for mod recommendations, I highly reccomend the Fallout mod for this. Probably the best and most fleshed out Fallout mod for any of the GS titles by Paradox.

Good features added, but heavily overpriced. Definitely would recommend for anyone who plays in Europe a lot.

Basically just made the game tedium simulator. But, it's needed for the Diplomatic Feedback setting. The Estates added are boring and add literally nothing to the game except micro-management hell.

Unnecessary and useless features. Totally unneeded to play the game 95% of the time.

What the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with you Paradox?

Great game I played the hell out of when I first got it a couple years ago. I originall picked it up on a whim after seeing an LP of it. Has a lot of charm and funny dialogue. The combat is definitely the most monotonous part, and if you play on the classic mode, you'll be restarting from the beginning a lot. I highly recommend picking it up though. Was definitely worth the purchase price.
