There is no OPEN PVP on PVP SERVERS! PvP servers are glorified PvE servers. You can't be attacked on a PvP server unless you opt into PvP or go into a PvP zone. If you don't do this you are untouchable and nobody can hurt your base.

What is the point of calling those servers PvP if they are almost identical to PvE.

You thought Nexon was gonna make this game pay to win and choke it with micros? Well Ironmace made it 100 times worse than Nexon ever could.

A really decent Remaster but tbh it is what PTDE should've been in the first place. Should've been free to all the owners of Prepare to Die Edition.

Port is one of the most quality made ports and the game mechanics are top notch, very polished. But the game is plagued by the same tropes of open world games. Huge boring repetitive open world with the same enemies and same bosses just copy pasted everywhere. Locations I wouldn't say are that interesting to explore either. Feels like a mix of Ubisoft and Souls like game. WIth same enemies post in higher level locations only with more health and doing more damage like stronger wolves with the same moveset make exploration not that exciting because it is the same thing around the corner.

I would suggest playing Dark Souls Remastered instead of this. It feels like open world too but more limited and each location is unique with unique enemies. I guess you can be burned out by Elden Ring and come back to play it again and again but for a GOTY 2022 that I didn't play until 2024 it is not as great as I expected it to be.

It is a good game, just very samey. I will probably still play it more after the review. Maybe even beat it completely. But It is the only souls game that I have to turn discord on to play because it is pretty boring.
