Having played the original Deus Ex, and its sequel (neither need to be played to understand DE:HR) i was hoping that this game would be another game like the first, and boy did they deliver.

The world that has been built is now starting to show eerie parallels to our own, with this games racism now being directed at "augs", people who have become augmented either due to accident or by choice, and shows the social injustices and problems that arise from one part of the population treating the other like they are less than human and with large corporations milking the population for money

As Jensen you are given plenty of options on how to proceed through each mission, from stealth takedowns and hacking environments to running and gunning everything in view. The game rewards you for taking a more stealthily approach and exploring every part of a level. You don’t have as many options to upgrade (no swimming or other useless options), but upgrades you can chose from are all useful, and most can be used in any situation. And whoever voices Jensen needs a pay rise, his voice acting is great. In fact I don’t remember hearing any voice acting I didn’t like in this game.

even on the hardest difficulty the game isn’t super hard, and if you are doing a stealth run then it’s even better (as you shouldn’t be getting shot at anyway)

I only have 2 gripes with this game - the boss fights, as in this version of the game they are a gun battle, and if you have been playing a more stealthily/passive route then you are thrown into a situation where you might hit a brick wall (especially if you weren’t carrying guns to free up inventory space and don’t have a save to go back to before the fight started) and how sometimes a knocked out enemy might accidently die causing the no kills run to be ruined (I need to stuff those bodies somewhere and that vent looks good)

if you are aiming for getting 100% achievements this isn't a hard to do as long as you remember the above.
