Lies of P is easily one of, if not, my favourite soulslike that isn't developed by Fromsoft. It both takes inspiration from the Fromsoft games while giving a fresh experience and is an incredibly well-made game that takes these inspirations and carves its own identity. A modern game truly made with love and care for the genre and the story's source material.

The flexibility you have with combat feels intuitive. You can bend the gameplay to your will based on your preference for playstyle and build-type. However, this doesn't mean the game isn't challenging. You'll be tested. But you'll be rewarded. The game has flexibility with how you want to approach its combat systems and stat builds, but will always keep you on your toes whether its the enemy placement, enemy move-sets, or the red attacks from certain enemies (which are required to be parried. There is an item that you can get that lets you dodge through red attacks as if they're normal ones but 1. late-game item and 2. it takes the thrill out of the boss fights, so I generally wouldn't recommend it).

On top of being a fantastic game, it both looks good and runs good. It's a beautifully crafted game that is optimised and runs like butter. I know I know, the RX 6800XT is a beefy boy, but I fully enjoyed being able to play this game in 120 fps with no upscaling crap and at a consistent 120 no matter what was happening on screen at 1440p res. This game is a perfect example of what modern games need to be. A game that looks good and runs good.

If you're even slightly into the souls-like stuff, I can't recommend Lies of P enough.

This game has a ton of problems but capcom themselves is a huge problem. Keep that Enigma DRM AWAY from all your games.

I wish I could like this game but I just can't. Not a fan of how the cars handle and drive, terrible AI, awful track design, and to top it off, awful optimization. I'd just rock Forza Horizon 4 and 5 if I were you. Unfortunately this game is yet again wasted potential just like all the other modern NFS games. Game feels like it's being held together by sticks and duct tape.

A pretty fun game unfortunately dragged down by abysmal optimization. Game runs fine actually. Except the random high CPU spikes and garbage CPU utilization. My GPU is more than capable of handling this game at 60 fps, but there have been times when I got some serious lag spikes for absolutely no reason. While playing I decided to keep up my PC performance stats. Turns out the CPU would hit 100% at random times quite often. Doesn't happen with anything else I play. God knows why this hasn't been fixed yet.
Currently running i5 8600k and a 3070 ti. I wish I could refund this game but i've gone over the 2 hour mark. Sucks this faulty product is actually still up and running.
