It's a Yakuza/Like a Dragon game. Of course it's good.

Kiryu is back with another engaging story that you never want to put down... Taking place during the same time as Yakuza: Like a Dragon, it is highly recommended that you play that game first. You will be able to pick this up and play without too much missing if you haven't played the previous title, but things make even more sense if you have the hindsight of the last game. It is also very exciting to be able to draw similarities in the key story points. "Oh, I remember that happening in LAD7!" is something you will think a lot.

The game looks incredible and feels seamless to play. Running into enemies keeps you in the world and you're right back into it after fighting, no loading screen, no waiting. This was my only gripe with Like a Dragon 7, and it was solved. It's as funny and off-the-wall as Yakuza games are, with the focus on combat quality that the Like a Dragon section brings to the table.

It is worth mentioning, though, the game is probably only ~15 hours. While that's a lot for a game nowadays, it's unusually short for an RGG game. I imagine this is the case as it is a "catch-up" storyline, so we learn what Kiryu has been up to just before Infinite Wealth. With the two games releasing so closely together, along with the rerelease of Ishin in an entirely new engine, it's no surprise the game is short. I just hope Infinite Wealth will be a longer game.

There are still a ton of quests and minigame challenges I haven't completed, though.

There's no BS DLC or season passes that other companies try to shill out. RGG is a perfect example of what a video game company should be.

It was boring. The gameplay loop of Diablo has not changed since 1996 when Diablo 1 released. It peaked with Diablo 3, but that was 11 years ago... If you want to survive in the industry you need to do more than update graphics and release the same game every 10 years. It needs to have something new that other games don't do better... But Diablo has done none of this. They continue to use their name to release projects that are uninteresting and stale. Badlurs gate does the RPG elements far better, and there are tons of MMOs that are more enjoyable experiences that are not 70 USD. You have a solid base with the Diablo franchise, please expand on it. Be less safe and it will pay off. Refunded. Not sinking hundreds of hours (which is what you expect when you pick up a Diablo title) on a game that isn't fresh and exciting to play.

P.S. You guys don't have phones?

Game used to be awful. Now it's fun. Unfortunately, any progress you made before the move to the open world concept was wiped, and you mostly have to start fresh. Not a big deal to me, was going to restart anyways.

This game has a little bit of everything, but does not have a lot of complete ideas. Kind of a "jack of all trades master of none" type experience. If you like Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom, and like RPGs, you'll probably like this game.

The camera can be a little janky at times, causing you to look through walls making it difficult to see. I think if the camera issue was solved and they put a little more effort into making the experience unique it would be a 10/10.

It's still a recommend from me, though. Overall, the game is just good. There are clearly things that need to be fixed, but none of them are extremely game-breaking or take away from the overall fun this game provides.

A lot of people were afraid ~3 years ago that the devs would abandon this game (which, clearly they didn't), so take the 25% negative reviews with a grain of salt.

I'm not exactly sure why this game is so hyped up.

It can be funny, but it's only that way because of how much of a slog the game is to get through and it becomes funny watching your friends die in funny ways. The gameplay genuinely puts us all to sleep. It looks awful and the game is slow and boring. Being reduced to a crawl and having to tote items back and forth between a maze you can't see through halfway across the map to store your loot or whatever so you can sell it and do it all over again with no diversity in play can not be fun for 5+ hours. There's no progression, aside from buying tools to help you continue the same processes, which is fine for the rogue randomly generated type of game- but you have to at least make the gameplay loop fun enough to continuously come back to. More diverse generation, graphics that don't look like 3D OG Runescape, movement that doesn't seem like you have cinder block shoes, something.

I truly can't imagine how this game has 98% positive reviews.. It's extremely boring.

The novelty runs out after a couple runs.

Game is good. It's a typical Yakuza / Like a Dragon game, but remastered using Unreal Engine, which I think was done very well.

The primary issue people had with the game was that they had a really stupid DLC that gave you one-time use powerleveling, but they have since walked that decision back and given anyone affected some bonus stuff for the inconvenience.

All game devs: THIS is how a studio should operate. Make good games consistently, and when you mess up (which is inevitable after 20 years) fix your mistakes.

RGG is a god tier game studio and they consistently release BANGERS.

The game is really fun, they made a lot of improvements within the city building realm from Cities 1. However, the game becomes unplayable after getting to a population of 20k-30k. I have a high-end PC, yet the game freezes once every 10 seconds when getting to a city of a large scale. I even tried lowering all settings to the lowest they go.

I would not pick up this game until it stops the freezing.

TT Wonderlands is fun. This is... Not really that fun. It reminds me why I could never finish Borderlands 2. It's so outdated looking and slow.

Also, the looting is soooo slowwwww compared to BL 3 and Wonderlands. Why do I have to pick up every item in a chest individually or hold E? Why can't it go directly into my inventory? I realize that's how the games used to be, but if you're going to re-release this as a standalone game (that will eventually cost money) you should fix small quality-of-life things like that.

I got it for free though. Maybe someday I'll finish it. Probably not.

This is, hands down, one of THE greatest games I've ever played. It's hilarious- but touching and sometimes sad, when it needs to be. The combat takes a little getting used to if you aren't used to RPGs, but it's worth the trouble, trust me. When you see the main character call in a laser-strike from outerspace and explode the entire neighborhood, you'll forget all about any gripes you have with the combat.

The english voice-over is incredible.

Sea of Thieves is dead, and the developers killed it. If you look at the player count on the community hub, no that number is not a glitch, that's the ACTUAL playercount.

The community was alienated for so long, with no valid updates for over a year, they let the gameplay get boring. Even after a whole new season with updates, all they did was split the players into two separate versions- "safer seas", where you're the only crew on the server, and the regular mode.

When your player count is this low, being able to turn off cross-platform will alienate your players, having a separate PVP mode where you literally leave the map will alienate your players, private servers will alienate your players. When you have more people WATCHING Sea of Thieves on a BoxyFresh stream than actually PLAYING it on Steam, there's a huge issue.

The problem is that we all love the game, but you can't figure out how to keep your players to PLAY, and even less, keep them engaged. The game is incredibly good, but it relies on other players playing with you to do so. If you can't fill up a server with other crews due to low player count and no cross-platforming, there's essentially no reason to play.

Like if Doom was a rhythm game. Incredibly satisfying. I'm just sad it's so short, but the soundtrack is amazing and features some pretty big names.

Devs did leave the ending open to allow for a Metal: Hellsinger 2 though- but who knows.

10/10
