Counter-Strike 2 — computer game in the genre of multiplayer tactical first-person shooter developed by Valve. It became the 5th game in the Counter-Strike series and is announced as a free update to Global Offensive.

The game features major technical improvements over Global Offensive, including a move from the Source game engine to Source 2, improved graphics, and a new client-server architecture. Additionally, many maps from Global Offensive have been updated to take advantage of Source 2 features, and some maps have been completely redesigned.

Valve announced the game on March 22, 2023, announcing that the developers were preparing a release for the summer of 2023. The game was released on September 27, 2023, replacing Global Offensive on Steam.
