This is a must play for any wannabe western type, country folk, or history enjoying people. True shooters and FPS gamers will appreciate the gallery style fights as well.

The game itself is a chaotic series of firefights narrated all the way through by John Cygan who you may recognize from Metal Gear Solid 2, Iron Man (2008 movie) and Starwars' KOTOR (search it, it's on steam) He passed in May of 2017 but I can't help but feel he lives on in some form in this game.

The art direction, pacing, and mechanics of the game are fairly solid. There is an RPG-like skill tree that you upgrade as you go through the game. At this moment (November 28th, 2023) the game is 3 dollars (USD) I highly recommend you pick it up. If Techland ever makes another game like this I will personally be pre-ordering it ASAP.

A real blast from basically start to finish. Game has a decent upgrade system for abilities, the story is so-so but the action's fun. There are only a few tracks in game so be prepared to provide your own tunes once you get sick of hearing Devil Trigger for the 50th time (if you do)

Falls short in very few areas, one of them being game length. I conked this whole thing out in about 4 hours and wish it were.. Another 4 hours long. Also there are some weird additional weapons introduced towards the end of the game that feel really out of place and there isn't much time left to really utilize them once you get them.

I'd give it a 8/10

Early Access Review
If you'r a fan of STALKER, this is most definitely for you. The controls are a little stiff, the graphics are a little lackluster, there's a mistranslation here or there, but there's still plenty of junk to explore. They throw gear at you, there's plenty of lore, the devs obviously care about their fans if they're running this Free after all of the trouble they went through to get it running. If you get stuck trying to authorize, just back out and retry it.

Treat this game like wine, it just needs a little bit of time.
