I don't understand the criticism. This game is better than Arkham City in almost every way. The story is much more moving and meaningful. Gotham is more than twice as large, and the murder-solving/crimes-in-progress make the city feel alive and dynamic, which is more than I can say for Arkham City. Batwing drop points prevent the increased city size from being a chore to traverse. The boss fights are miles ahead of the first two games, letting you feel the very real danger they present to Batman, and leaving you very satisfied upon defeating them.
Overall, the experience was just so much more true to the ideal Batman experience than any game that has you trapped in a prison.
I never thought I'd see myself say this, as I'm a massive Kevin Conroy fan, but apart from Arkham Knight (which I haven't played yet) this was the most fun I've had out of the series. 9/10 - definitely worth the money and time.

10/10 would play again
