Hi Thank you for visiting my profile. :)
I'm a man born in 1957 and I've had many interests throughout my life, but especially computers and whatnot have had my interest since the early 80's when Sinclair's ZX81 came on the market.

Back then, games and programs were not something you could buy in a store, no, you had to make that kind yourself, save it on cassette tape.
Together with a couple of friends, I helped make a good Othello game on their ZX81.
- I was the guinea pig who had to test the game while they watched and tricked my strategies which they then built into the program, so in the end it became fairly difficult for me to beat the machine. LOL

The machine's built-in 1 KB RAM was obviously not enough for such a program, as far as I remember they had to buy 16 B extra RAM for it. LOL

That experience gave me blood on my teeth, so later I bought a TEXAS TI99/4A myself, and on it I made the first small programs myself.

In '84 I bought an Amstrad CPC 464, which was later replaced by an Amstrad CPC 6128 and the biggest program I made on it was a simulation of a slot machine, where I had been allowed to look into a real mechanical slot machine to be able to find out how the symbols were distributed on the various reels.
I used Z80 machine code for rotation of the wheels, basic worked too slowly to give a realistic rotation.

In the beginning of 95 I bought my first PC and it had the operating system Windows 3.11, which I later upgraded to Windows 95.
Now it was over with programming myself, because everything I needed I could buy, or find as shareware or freeware.

In 1999, I completed a 9-month IT administrator course specializing in web design.
Unfortunately, I never got to use that education professionally, but in addition to web design, I also learned to build my own PC, and one of the PCs I built I configured with Redhat linux, and on that PC I hosted my own website for about 2 years.

Over the following years I built 2 more PC's, after which I gave up in future to build my own PCs because I no longer kept up with the technical development and therefore found it too difficult for me to find components that fit together, so since I gave it up, I have ordered my PCs from professionals , and therefore did not keep me updated with that kind of technical knowledge since 2005.

Thank you for your interest and patience in reading about some of my memories. :tr_apple:

yes, i knew that in those conditions the report was not going to be of much use. i don't usually report because of what you said about the way they have to be done. and i don't feel like doing those routes again just to take pictures and coordinates. i already know how to manage those routes, so i'm not worried, but it's always better if it works well :D thanks for sharing the video and support in that report. have a nice day!

Hi Minnie.
I have now added a reply with a link to my video to your bug report. :)
Unfortunately, I'm just afraid we're wasting our time... at least on that thread, in that we haven't met the very complicated rules for a properly filled out bug report.

Unfortunately, I myself once tried to write a bug report regarding some speed limits in the Black Sea area with several video clips attached... And it was totally ignored by SCS, which is why I don't feel competent to fill in a correct bug report after the very complicated rules.

But I would like to wish you the best of luck in your attempt to arouse SCS's interest in these errors, and hope that you succeed. :)

Hello mate,
I wanted to add strength to your comment regarding video games and it's effect on humanity.
Over here in England, we saw an increase in joyriding as a direct result of the game, Grand Theft Auto. Having read some research, it would appear that gaming and film can influence what people do, how they react, speak and even live as a result of certain titles. One of the biggest sparks in Ouija board sales, was after The Exorcist was screened. So I agree, with what you outlined in the now locked thread.

All the very best

Gary
