All-Stars Transformed is one of those games that seems like it's too gimmicky to be good...but it isn't. Where it accelerates past other Racing games is in the design and the careful thought put into making this game the perfect spiritual successor to "Diddy Kong Racing". When you race, you travel across vast tracks of re-imagined games of Sega's history, dating all the way back to the Mega Drive and early arcade titles of the mid-late 80s. Whether you are familiar with what this title draws upon or not is irrelevant, because driving through such stunning levels compels you to check out the games that they are based on. It's a memorable experience that binds the Sega Legacy together, wrapped with a Sonic bow.

If you liked the first, or if you're interested in something a little different, or if you love sega characters racing against each other, get this game. Best part for fans of the previous title: The annoying announcer is no longer in this game!
