Vampire Survivors is an incredibly fun, incredibly entertaining game with an incredible amount of replay value. I've always loved it, I've kept it installed and in my recently played games since I bought it. It's always fun to pick up for a bit, even just one run or two at the end of the night.

But THIS,
THIS is how you create a DLC.

There's a TON of new characters, each one of them with their own theme remixed from other Castlevania games, each with their own weapon and evolutions, and each with something new to unlock more content. And then, when you finally go and "beat" the DLC, you're met with a beautifully scripted and cinematic sequence of events reminiscent of some of the best moments of games like Undertale.
The way the credits of the DLC transition back into the menu of the game, not just acting as a cutscene but using every bit of the UI, and transitioning right back into the natural character select screen, is outstanding. Excellently well-done. I know the devs behind this massive content pack are proud of themselves for this, it's displayed in every bit of the DLC's presentation and execution. That said, I still just want to make it clear that they deserve any amount of praise and more for what they've done here, especially for such a fair price. I almost feel like I robbed Poncle for how much I got out of this purchase.

On the custom servers (portal) I can play a server that has BF3 vs BFBC2 and that's lit af
I got it for $5 on the recent sale, so I gotta say this has been well worth my money, maybe some others might not agree at full price. But it has "the battlefeel" down, on customs and on standard gameplay. Loving it!

The game is tons of fun, especially with friends, and the entire story is a Steins;Gate reference. Nice.
And no the Epic Games sign-in "issue" isn't a big deal. You have to sign in a single once when you boot up the game the first time, and you're set. Get over yourselves.
The grind is real, there's tons of weapons and gear to unlock, not to mention upgrade through repeat runs. Fencer remains a class of hard to master but very fun when you do, Wing Divers feel like they have more role specializations with so many different core options, and the new backpack slot on each class adds some very well-appreciated utility.
I really like what they did with the story, actually, despite the fact that the whole story of every EDF game is a complete joke anyway.
Check out the available mods for the game, the Valkyries are especially cool.

---{ Review In-Depth }---
I'm going to be as unbiased as possible here. (Challenge: Impossible)
The game had a rough launch, and it continues to shy away from perfect.
I've crashed only twice, once when loading the customization screen for the first time (this never happened again) and once on my first mission drop (never happened again). However, on launch the servers crashed twice, and I've had intermittent connection problems trying to link up with randoms. It's a little disappointing, but this game is blowing up on Steam and I can imagine they weren't ready for it to be so popular.

As of this writing, the game feels like it's in a pretty good place after the rocky launch. Aside from trying to connect to randoms, which I rarely do, I don't seem to be having connection issues. A few minor BUGS are around; like miscellaneously dying in a certain area of a map once, landing my Hellpod underneath a mountain a couple times and having to kill myself, and falling down through my super destroyer into the void of space after loading into a random's lobby once. The game plays VERY well aside from that, however, and I want to stress that the core of the game here is outstanding.

Blowing up bugs, ripping apart cyborgs, and mangling your teammates is endlessly entertaining. The game feels visceral in its action in a very special kind of way. Everything can either explode, lose a limb, be sent flying via explosives, burn, freeze, get stunned, or otherwise be demolished, including you. The pace of the combat ramps up well with your chosen difficulty, and the choice of difficulty is fair to players of various skill levels, with easy being an actually good place to learn and higher difficulties being appropriate levels of a test to your development as a player.
The way each weapon handles different from each other and forces you to plan your movements rather than rely on your reflexes was odd to pick up but satisfying to learn. Slowly memorizing strategem inputs as you use them more often makes you feel more professional with each deployment. Having the OPTION to pair up certain support weapons with your teammates without being required to feels very well thought-out.

The "story" isn't much to write home about. But it is hilarious, and it sets the tone for the game properly. It's easy to get yourself immersed in the fantasy of fighting for DEMOCRACY by employing more-than-ample amounts of firepower to your enemies. I find myself screaming alongside my ingame soldier frequently. The vibes are most definitely here. FREEDOM NEVER SLEEPS!

Overall, I have to recommend this game. I'm very much looking forward to future content updates and story progression as the devs respond to how the game is being played.

Early Access Review
I gotta say, I really like it! For the price, this is a lot of fun with surprisingly good gameplay. The variety of "builds" you can go for, and the roguelite gameplay keeps things fresh. I wish there weren't so many obviously meta choices, and I wish a lot of upgrades you could get (add-on armor, for example) would have (optional) cosmetic changes to make you feel more accomplished during your run. The girls are cute, though I already forgot all their names.
I'm looking forward to the "day off" feature having something like short "story" scenes with the heroines to reward your persistent progress.
Overall I'd recommend it, it's really just a short delight and I'd put it up there with "games you can pick up and play whenever you're bored" like Vampire Survivors.

I've started playing this game 3 times and still never got very far into it, yet I'd still suggest it every step of the way. It's JUST fun. I recently heard a second is on the way, and I'm so hyped for it. Going back in for another run!

It's a lot of fun, and the modding community is, as expected, already all over the game. I'm expecting a lot of replayability coming out of this, and have been quite pleased with the amount of time I've already put into it. Runs well for me, better with some optimization mods.
Lots of people bashing the game because it's not X or too much like Y, whatever. They must not have played a Bethesda game before. If you like Skyrim or Fallout, you'll get everything that makes those titles great, here. The story is engaging, both the main quests and especially all the side quests. The ship combat seemed bad at first but I actually got into it as I got more options; specifically the Piloting skill that lets me strafe. Kind of bummed that wasn't available by default, but at least it's there.
Love the random encounters you can get into out in space. I'll keep it spoiler-free, but you run into quite a few charming characters and events just warping between planets. Exploring planets on the surface isn't terribly engaging but there is plenty of random encounters, features and structures/settlements to go out there and find, it's a decent break from questing.
I keep forgetting the special abilities. I feel like they weren't implemented very well, if I'm being honest. They're certainly not necessary in general use, but they do come in handy when I can remember they exist.

All in all I'm quite satisfied with my purchase, aside from the $70 price tag, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this game goes and more importantly where I go in it.

This game gets so much better the longer you play. I keep getting surprised more and more, and it feels like I'm making some form of progress with each run. I only recently found out that characters have different themes while you play, too. (I originally thought each map had a different track)
The game is very cheap for what you get, and the DLCs are super affordable too. It's just a good game, designed to be enjoyed.

Second up on my journey to complete the Trails series. It's been a bit past a month and a half since I finished first chapter, and I worked pretty hard at completing this game 100% and enjoying as much of the world as I could. Once again, all the characters are displayed beautifully in both their best and worst moments, and the amount of overlap each story element has with one another comes to a beautiful climax involving every hero on a personal level in various ways. It's just beautiful.

This is an old JRPG using the same art style as Trails FC, with a few changes to character sprites that don't really seem like an "upgrade" but rather just a different pose. It has a beautiful art style and even the fake 3D pixel characters are surprisingly detailed for being so low resolution.

---{ Gameplay }---
☑ Very good
☐ Good
☐ It's just gameplay

For a story-focused game, Trails SC does a really good job of making the gameplay fun. Swapping items off of characters outside your party is a bit of a pain, it's a shame there's no easier way to do this, but that aside playing with different orbal setups and trying to minmax your characters into specific roles is surprisingly entertaining. The combat on Normal mode is engaging enough to challenge you, and you'll find yourself in need of equipment swapping with some unique enemies or monsters. You won't get bored with a "jack of all trades" setup using the same skills over and over again.

☐ Eargasm

The game has a great soundtrack with many returning tracks from Trails FC, but has a lot of great new tracks as well. The intense moments and the sad moments hit just the right way thanks to the music behind them. A few characters have comically poor English voices, though, I'll be honest. (Gilbert...)

I have severe doubts that this game would have trouble running on even some laptops. It's very easy to pick up and play on almost any device, and in fact I've also had good luck with it on Steam Link through my phone.

---{ Difficulty }---
☐ Just press 'W'
☐ Easy
☑ Easy to learn / Hard to master
☐ Significant brain usage
☐ Difficult
☐ Dark Souls
Unlike the last game, Trails SC is pretty engaging all the way through, even if you have external help like a guide. Many fights you can work your way through without much trouble but there are some enemies and even some normal monsters that can give you a run for your money if you're not prepared. Learning each character's strengths and weaknesses is critical and effective use of buffs, debuffs and other support effects is incredibly viable.

---{ Grind }---
☐ Nothing to grind
☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
☑ Isn't necessary to progress
☐ Average grind level
☐ Too much grind
☐ You'll need a second life for grinding
I started this game with slightly higher levels thanks to the save transfer from FC, but even so I felt myself reach the "intended level" for the story pretty quickly as the EXP levels balanced out. After that, I didn't feel particularly forced to grind a lot, aside from a couple times I had to farm a certain normal mob for green sepith to craft a quartz.

---{ Story }---
☐ No Story
☐ Some lore
☐ Average
☐ Good
☐ Lovely
☑ It'll replace your life
I really can't even think of where to start on this game's story. TLDR it's outstanding and the English localization did a really good job aside. I would say it's pretty necessary to have played FC first, and so many plot points in this game tie back to loose ends from FC as well as plot points you may have thought were sealed up already.
The ending couple chapters are a beautifully done culmination of everything you went through in Trails FC. Even something as simple as the fact that your dad had you travel the nation on foot in the first game ends up tying into the pre-finale of this game so masterfully. I genuinely felt attached to each of my supporting characters, and whether it was forced through gameplay or not took the time to use certain characters when plot points involving them came up.

---{ Game Time }---
☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee
☐ Short
☐ Average
☑ Long
☐ To infinity and beyond
Once again my gametime is sufficiently padded, I'd say you could probably expect upwards of 20-40 hours of actual gameplay from this title. The first few chapters are variable with a choice of two starting companions, so there's something to be said for replay value choosing the other character, probably in new game plus on a harder difficulty if you cared to?

---{ Price }---
☐ It's free!
☑ Worth the price
☐ If it's on sale
☐ If u have some spare money left
☐ Not recommended
☐ You could also just burn your money
This game is so incredibly worth the money. I don't even think it's underrated, but I'd say it deserves more and more acclaim.

---{ Bugs }---
☑ Never heard of
☐ Minor bugs
☐ Can get annoying
☐ ARK: Survival Evolved
☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs
The only bugs I've taken note of are a few text errors, maybe three throughout the story and one on a chest message.

Once again, a masterpiece. It's very clear that a lot of love and effort went into making this game as presentable and enthralling as it is. Unforgettable is a great word for it, and I can't wait to explore the rest of the series going forward.
