No single player is a massive downside for people without friends.

While the game is quite fun and a great stress reliever / time killer, the optimisation of the game is fairly poor. Don't expect to place down too much stuff before the game starts to tank, even if you're on the best of computers. This is due to the fact that the game only utilises a single CPU core (to my knowledge). That with the fact that the game is slightly lacking in content (such as no dedicated map editor, not a lot of objects to play with either) alongside incredibly infrequent updates leads me to recommend this game, but only during a sale. The last few points I made are huge downsides, but the game is still incredibly enjoyable and is worth at the very least visiting and trying it out.

This game is genuinely a super fun tower defense set in the Touhou universe. It has a variety of towers and a bunch of unique levels, with a neat skill upgrade tree and addicting gameplay that doesn't feel repetitive.

My only minor complaint is that the main "story" part of the game is a bit short; I do wish there were more levels to play, or at the very least, one more Endless level. You do get more levels when you beat the main game, but it's still unfortunately not enough for me, but perhaps I am being a bit greedy.

I absolutely recommend buying this game, even when not on sale (although as a frugal person I always wait for sales). Getting the DLC is also worth it, for sure. Overall an amazing experience, with lovely music and graphics.

8.5/10

As someone with 1,000+ hours in the main game, this is peak. Buy it now. This instant. Immediately. No delay.

4 key on lower difficulties and 6 key on higher difficulties leaves a player like me (majorly 4 key player) in a terrible position. I can't use lower difficulties to train for 6 key, and higher difficulties kick my butt. I either have to play the boring lower difficulties in 4 key, or suffer trying to learn 6 key on higher difficulties with no stepping stones to help me learn (asides from playing different rhythm games, but I shouldn't have to do that).

Half of this problem is me having a skill issue, but it's unfortunate that I cannot really enjoy the game without training myself in a different rhythm game entirely. I am going to keep trying to play and my opinion will hopefully change, but as it stands now I'd suggest avoiding this game if you're primarily a 4 key player. 6 key players, go nuts.

All the negative reviews are just copium from people who hate Peropero and don't want to support them.

Just as Planned gives you access to an extraordinary amount of songs for its price, and will also give you access to every separate DLC pack FOR FREE as long as you log in a week after the DLC pack releases. Furthermore, Just as Planned will receive free songs as it always has even with separate DLC packs becoming a thing.

Peropero deserves the support.

Hands down one of the best sprite editors out there. You can get it for free too if you know how to compile code. I 100% recommend.

Early Access Review
The game overall, while a bit difficult to learn at first, is a wonderful, expansive experience that's still being worked on by the devs. While it's still in early access, the game itself feels finished.

There's plenty of settings to customise your playing experience to how you'd like to play, and if you get bored of the vanilla game, there is a
massive selection of mods available, such as map mods that edit, add to, and expand the vanilla map, and item mods.

There's so much to do and learn in Project Zomboid that you can get hundreds of hours out of it. I highly recommend the game, even not on sale.
