God Wars is a Tactics RPG in the vein of FFT or Tactics Ogre. This version is the edition with all the extra levels and whatnot, which is a yay in and of itself. It has a VERY easy learning CURVE. And by that I mean the tutorials/instructions are quite clear and easy to wrap your head around. The game is not "too easy", it definitely has a decent level of challenge to it. And the job system and myriad (heh) of equipment and skills allow for a lot of strategies. Which is helpful with the MASSIVE amount of level content this game has. The setting is one of a Japanese mythology that we don't often get here in the West, that of Princess Kaguya and the Myriad Gods (And Susano-O. Hi Susano-O!) The art style is a combination of anime and artistic expression that is quite refreshing. And the VO and storytelling is as good as any Kurosawa samurai film. If you are a fan of tactics games, RPGs as a whole, Japan, mythology, Japanese mythology, great VO, great story, or quirky myriad gods (and who isn't?) You OWE it to yourself to get this game!
