CS:GO Review
Counter Strike is a game I got originally many years ago, and has brought me so much joy I can’t give it a negative review, but there are many things wrong with is game.

Counter Strike : Global Offensive is FPS 5v5 online multiplayer shooter, terrorist vs counter-terrorist, where each team plays best out of 30 rounds. The CTs can win individual rounds by preventing the terrorists from playing their bomb for 3 minuets, killing all the terrorists, or defusing the terrorists bomb. Terrorists can win by either killing every counter-terrorist, or by successfully planting and detonating a bomb, at one of the two bomb sites per diffusal map. There is another competitive game mode (hostage), which is similar. The terrorists win by defending the hostages of waiting out 3 minutes, and the counter-terrorists win by saving one of the two hostages, and taking said hostage to the safe zone (also the spawn of the counter-terrorists).

The gunplay in this game is easy to pick up, but hard to master. Each individual gun has its own pattern in which it shoots, making it hard to “spray and pray”, but also adds a level of mastery needed in higher ranked gameplay. Although this is observed a core game trait which draws many to counter-strike, by promising you if you’re willing to put in the time, you will get better at this, the game itself does a very poor job on notifying and teaching the player of such mechanics, aside from a weapons course, which doesn’t much teaching if any all.

Aside from not informing the player on gunplay mechanics, many guns in the game aren’t balanced. For example, an $800 pistol can kill an individual if the player is shot in the head, even with armor, but a $3,100 rifle can’t. There are many of these imbalances in the game, and the developers show some interest in patching and fixing these, but for me, it’s part of what drove me away from this game.

Another pillar of this game is its community. There are many, many nice individuals who play this game, but a majority of the people who play this game are very toxic, and it seems the devs don’t care about this at all. In game there is this system called overwatch, where the community reviews games and convicts cheaters, but leaves most toxic players be. The toxicity of the community ultimately drove me away from this game.

Now, overwatch and the way the game deals with cheaters. CS uses VAC, infamous for being a horrible anti-cheat. As a counter measure, though, developers implemented Overwatch, a community based system where if an individual gets enough reports in a day, or over 100 points in a game, a demo of the game will be sent for review by an individual over a specific level in the game. This system, is terribly flawed. It only captures 8 rounds total, and if you so happen to see any suspicious activity in those 8 rounds, only than will action be taken to suspend the suspects account. This includes genuinely good players.

Overall, I personally don’t enjoy Counter-Strike anymore, but I used to have so much fun with it, and have made so many memories with this game, I would have to recommend it. It has its flaws, but it has what many shooters don’t have anymore: a very long and steep learning curve. From spray patterns, to bunny hopping there is a lot for a player to learn, and I think that’s where this game shines.

Early Access Review
Rust is a game of patience and persistence, and you experience that the moment you start the game, and that turns a lot of people off. As of recently, updates have been kiling the game, but I have hope for this wonderful game. This game attracts the player who enjoys sitting down and grinding and having their work pay off (most of the time), but it also attracts cucks, so watch out. I reccomend playing this game with a veteran if you're new, but once you get the ist, I reccomend playing solo, to better understand the game. Overall, I rate this game 7/10.
