as i stand up i feel the gravity in the room change. my mother in shock that a child lays lifeless on the kitchen floor.. she immediately grabs her phone and starts typing. then i hear a soft voice on the other end, too quiet to make out what was said.. my mother says "yes" then more silence. "come quickly" she says. she takes a seat across from me at the table and just looks dead ahead. time goes by and i feel the repercussions of what i had just done are on their way.. the doorbell sounds.

my mother slowly gets up then walks over to the door with out turning her back to me the whole time. the door creeks open. in walks a man and a older woman with a clipboard they take one look at the body of the child and then their faces drop...
