By far the best way to play THPS 1 & 2, gameplay feels amazing. Unfortunately seems unlikely they'll ever remake 3+4 or the Underground games, but this game is a great deal on sale. Highly recommend.

Great game but not if you have an AMD GPU.

Played through the entire game on an RX 6950 XT and faced crashes constantly. Refreshing shadow cache through the Adrenalin software frequently is a must, especially after using an elevator. But even with constant shadow cache refreshes I faced frequent crashes, making the game frustrating to complete.

For a certain section in chapter 4 where you must get a key I had to turn my game down to minimum settings, set resolution to 640x480 and cap fps to 30 to be able to complete that section. Anything else caused me to crash when the next cutscene/save point would happen.

Besides all that its a pretty decent game, and if you have an Nvidia GPU I would definitely recommend playing it. Not sure if the crashes impact Intel GPUs though.

Absolute trash, unlocks 5000 achievements as soon as you launch it, good if you want a ton of achievements I guess. Otherwise stay away.

I did figure out a way to remove the achievements from my account, steps I took are below.

Step 1: Make sure the game is installed.

Step 2: Create a shortcut for the Steam.exe, within target add "-console" after the path, for example mine was "C:\Steam\steam.exe -console"

Step 3: Make sure Steam is closed, and then run the shortcut. You'll know its worked if you see a new tab at the top called "Console"

Step 4: Look up the game you want to remove the achievements from on steamdb.info, make note of the appid. For this game the appid is "710110"

Step 5: Go to the Console tab in Steam, type "reset_all_stats <appid>" so for this game do "reset_all_stats 710110"

Step 6: Make sure it said it was successful after entering that command. If it was then uninstall the game. To be extra safe I ran the command again after uninstalling the game and highlighting/selecting a different game within the Library section of Steam, but I do not think this is required. At this point you can close Steam and open it like normal to remove the console tab.

Make sure you do not select or highlight the game in Steam again. Clicking on the game after everything was reset for me ended up unlocking all the achievements again and crashing my Steam.

Step 7: To see if it has worked, unlock an achievement for another game, once I did this I noticed this game was removed from my perfect games and my total achievements went back to normal.

Step 8: If you want to make sure achievements stay gone, remove the game from your Steam library through the automated support tool.

List of recipes below.

Quite a nice selection of recipes, comes in English and German, am yet to try any but the recipes themselves seem very easy to follow and mostly use easy to find ingredients. Might be a few where you have to order online unless you live in a larger city (at least if you're in the UK anyway, unsure about ingredient availability elsewhere). Wanted to put this up here for anyone thinking about buying this but on the fence because you don't know what recipes are in it. Annoyed me its not listed anywhere so here you go:

Porridge with Berries
Porridge with Apple
Scrambled Eggs with Mushrooms
Beef Broth Basic Recipe
Soup with Beetroot
Mushroom Soup
Potage
Vegetable Soup
Stew
Meat Pie
Meat Tart
Fish Tart
Meat with Gravy
Ravioli with Beetroot
Plum Tart
Cherry Pie
Poppy Seed Pie
Fruit Tart
Pear Tart

Overall I think this is a pretty great game, the characters are amazing, and I really loved the story, gameplay was pretty average. There are definitely a lot of aspects you can notice the game was rushed, but in my playthrough (start of 2021, so an older version than currently) I didn't have any issues and really enjoyed the game. Definitely not as great as many expected, but as someone who had no expectations and didn't bother paying attention to it before release I loved it. Doesn't deserve the amount of hate it gets imo.

Early Access Review
Played one campaign from start to finish on e1.5.5. Also have 270 odd hours on Warband. I highly recommend this game, it's great.

Even in it's early access state, Bannerlord is so much more fun than vanilla Warband. Bugs are to be expected for now, but besides one major bug where I had to rollback to a previous save from 20 minutes prior, I had very few issues. My main complaint would be that siege AI is awful, when a lord is leading a siege they will often build catapults over and over again despite them instantly getting destroyed and not furthering the siege. Sometimes they'll just abandon it after a while. Once you're physically in the siege and taking the town/castle, the AI is atrocious at climbing the siege towers, everyone will group up at the bottom and never make use of all 3 ladders, sometimes just going up and down the same ladder, preventing anyone else getting to the top. I'd also caution using catapults in a siege because countless times I had my own men destroy siege towers because they were targeting the enemies on the other side of the wall, and end up killing 20+ of my own troops and stopping us from advancing over the walls. I fully expect all of this to be reworked and much better by the time the game reaches it's official release. And despite it being slightly annoying to deal with, I still had a blast with the game and took over the entire map as a vassal. Going to wait for a few updates and then have another run starting my own kingdom.

To start with I will give a little background. I got this game on the PS4 when it was free for PS+ members, so I have played much more than the Steam number shows. This is definitely my favourite indie game I have played.

Don't Starve is an incredibly good game, it has great depth and incredible replayability. There are many different characters you can unlock, each with unique traits that will make replaying this game continiously enjoyable. I would highly recommend buying this game, even if it is not on sale, although it does go on sale frequently.

The DLC Reign of Giants expands upon the world of Don't Starve by making the game even more challenging, by adding 2 more seasons, Spring and Autumn and reworking Summer to be much more difficult. It adds many new items that can change the way you survive. And with the new mechanic of smoldering items in Summer, the game gets a lot more difficult. I would also highly recommend purchasing this DLC because it adds an incredible amount of content to the game.

Overall: 9.5/10

My playtime is not accurate, I have around 130 hours played across 2 playthroughs, one normal and one hardcore.

In my opinion, this game is perfect for any RPG enthusiast. It ticks so many boxes for me. While you are playing as a character, Henry, you have a lot of choice regarding how people perceive you and whether you want to take the high road and be a hero or knock out and rob every merchant and be a villain.

I absolutely recommend this game to everyone, but I think some more casual players who just want to chill out and have a good time might find it frustrating. The save system is very unique. On normal mode the game will autosave at important moments, such as before a large battle or so. You can also save by sleeping in some beds or by drinking an alcoholic drink 'saviour schnapps'. On Hardcore the only methods of saving are sleeping and saviour schnapps, no autosaves. This can be quite frustrating for some people, but there are mods that eliminate this. There is a mod titled 'save anywhere' that will do just that. There is also a mod titled 'cheats' that adds an option to save through the in-game console.

I find the combat system to be incredibly well refined. While you do start out completely useless at swinging a sword over time you will get much better. I actually find it very fluid and intuitive. My favourite combat mechanics in any medieval style game.

This DLC is very good, with a completely new theme and many new game mechanics it is another great way to test the skill of the player. The new boats and rafts that you can build and the new mobs and adaptions of the seasons make this DLC incredibly fun. It is in early access, so there are going to be a few bugs and not all features are implemented yet, but it is incredibly fun so I would recommend purchasing it.
