Really relaxing game to get you over a stressful day.

Naval Action is a unique and beautifully made game that gives you complete freedom over your destiny, you take your role as a captain in the west indies during the age of sail, you may simply want to trade or like me take enemy ships your prize.

The community is greatly helpful and i spent my first few hours talking to more experienced captains who were talking me through what I could take in my starter Yatch. After a few more hours I got to grips with navigation and once I worked out where I was I had to rely on map and compass, no player location marker in this game im afraid, you are forced to learn and adapt in this wonderful world.

After basing my now upgraded yatch at kingston I operate in 5 day tours in which I will go into enemy waters, take a prize and bring it back into kingston for my own gain. I am under the flag of the UK which means I mainly attack French and Spanish ships, attacking an English ship would make me a pirate!

I would recommend this game if you are intrested in the Naval history of this time and have an appetite for the learning curve, however you will not enjoy your experience if you are not willing to listen to more experienced players.

Good:

Highly Realistic simulation of aircraft
Great Price on offer
Active Multiplayer community
Lots of easy to follow lessons and missions
Free flight mode allowing you to plan and carry out your own flights.
Millions of addons available on the web (I do not recommend any of the DLC aircraft listed on steam personally)

Bad:

To get realistic planes you are looking at around $30 to get the Airbus or $70 for the pmdg, the default ones simply aren't that great.

Outdated graphics don't look that great.

Extremely unoptimized, people with GTX titans can sometimes get 15 fps from a 10 year old game.

CPU hog

Multiplayer is quite unrealiable



Overall

Microsoft Flight Simulator is still the leading product of Aviation simulation to this date, it is quite frankly amazing, but the fact that the market for a game like this is so small means that we will have to cope with the older engines as this is it as far as the FS series goes, however you cannot blame the devs for work done 10 years ago when this would of truly been a even more amazing example of simulation technology

This game is Great, the graphics are pretty and the interface is easy, what more can I ask from a fun to play city builder.I have not played much yet as I feel that you need to sit down and devote to this game and I don't have that much time to. Already I am forming a little town which will serve as a cheap surburb in the finished product. I downloaded the London Map mod for it, not particulary because I wanted to mimick london but as I thought having a flowing river running down the middle would improve my chances of not getting Twitter messages about how expensive bottled water is to shower with! This game teaches you hard lessons for example forgetting to put water collection and disposal the wrong way round will result in ♥♥♥♥ literally pouring out of your citizens taps. Not commenting on their intelligence but many of them still the brown murky liquid instead of picking up a orange juice at the local cafe but hey each to their own! This brings me to the wonderful zone system, the city will build itself with your permission rather than wait for you to plant every house and apartment.Your job mainly is to supply power and water to homes and businesses and to furthermore dedicate the money going in to each of the magic 3 - Industrial,Comercial and Residential. You need People to work at factories and buy from businesses but how are you going to get people to move to your city if there is nothing to do? Early on in the game money will become less of an issue and population will become your main priority along with the industry and logistics that come with opening up a whole new neighbourhood. The pace is nice as long as you take breaks to deal with real time problems such as sickness and fires you will have plenty of time to set all the power and water up in a certain area, after that you can build anything you want. Overall the main message is to build your dream, the citizens only hate you for what you don't do.And early on the in the game they are literally the most excitable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the world. One posted online congratulating me on the new coal power plant and how he loved the smell of pollution when he woke up in the morning. And if people post bad stuff about you why not knock down their house or demolish the local school so their kids have no choice but to work at the landfill site you just placed to lower their land value. The game is great for running your own 1 man secret police system!

Hello this is a M-DAWG early access review I will change it constantly in the coming months so where i have marked (early access common problem) means that it will inveitably be fixed.

First let me start by putting the definiton of Early Access ... twice (For the mentally stunted people among us)

As can see i've spent about 45 minutes on ME and already am getting the hang of it, please watch the tutorial it seems long- being 15 minutes but it will save you hours of time later on.ME is a strange beast, me wanting to see the full potential of the game I kept the building realism on as i was building my classic four sided with turrets and a drawbridge castle I was punched in the stomach by my walls collapsing and falling into rubble.Please don't quit the game and then let it sit in your steam library, put your chin up and try again- this time with supports and maybe smaller walls-make your design simpler you can always make it more complex in the future.

A funny story:
This is a really nice table let me have a close *ragdoll time* BLURRRRRRGHSMASHBONKOHNOBANG... oh.. my house is gone.

Overall a great start for what could turn out to be a classic game!

I hope some certain intelligent people will take my information and use it to choose wether they will or will not buy this game.

Take Arma put it on a CS map add red orchestra style gun play and menu systems and to finish it off give it medal of honour graphics and CS gamemodes.This game is truly amazing and addictive the only problems i had with it was menus where you have to make sure the settings match your computer as i had about 15 mins of constant crashing until i realised i was using headphones and by default it is on the surround sound setting.You also get the odd syrian kid spamming voice chat with "Allah Akbar, Die american scum." but if your a fan of Arma,CS or Red orchestra.I think VIP is the best gamemode.
