I'm not super far into the game right now, I'm still near the end of the initial apartment building, and presentation wise, it's been gorgeous. I love that enemies actually feel like a threat now, too, requiring you to actually time dodges instead of just standing slightly out of range and mashing the attack button. Along with some puzzles being shuffled around, so it's not just replaying the same exact riddles from the original game.

HOWEVER, in the game's current state, the optimization leaves a lot to be desired. I have an rtx 3070 TI, and a ryzen 7 5800X3D, and i get anywhere from 30-70 fps on medium settings with ray tracing disabled. On top of this, the game will randomly drop down to sub 15fps for a minute or so, before returning back to normal. Because of this fact alone, I'm hesitant to recommend the game to most people. Because with my system, it's a lot more powerful than a lot of people would feasibly have, and it would really suck to buy a 70 dollar game and be unable to run it. Especially if you were as excited about this game's launch as I was.

I got the deluxe edition for early access, and was really hoping that the build of the game wasn't going to be the launch build, or that there would be a day 1 patch, but here's hoping that the game gets a good optimization patch some time soon. Because if the performance is improved, then I'd consider this game to be a contender for GotY.

hit the rock, punch the rock, hurt the rock, attack the rock, KILL THE ROCK.

very good idle/incremental game, no pay to win, and the progression feels very nice. for the most part the stages progress pretty quickly once you get the hang of things, it doesn't really grind to a halt like other incremental games do. and this game has a screensaver mode. very aesthetically pleasing game to just have on a second monitor or a main monitor when i'm across my room. i love looking at the gnorps gnorp it up. and the game is only $7, i got plenty of moneys worth out of this game, and that's not counting the free expansion that is on the horizon.

thank you gnorp dev!

Early Access Review
this game is genuinely some of the most fun i've had in a while. this game has it all, the funny comedic moments with your friends, all the way to the tense nailbiting moments when everything is going wrong all around you. would recommend playing with a few friends

a pleasant little 30ish minute game, somewhat similar to papers please, but heavily simplified.

It would probably be fun to play if I had an entire movie theater to play in (because for whatever reason the devs didn't care about the majority of VR users). The only things I can really say for it is that the game starts up, and has a good framerate. Maybe this review would be a little different if I could you know, play the game.

So far through playing just the first couple missions, I have noticed that this game doesn't exactly have a very stable framerate, I have a Ryzen 7 2700x and an EVGA GTX 1660 TI, and I notice framerates going from 60+ down to the high 20s, and I have noticed multiple random crashes. However, the gameplay is very open ended and lets you choose what you want to do, which really reminds me of how open my favorite hitman game was: Hitman: Blood Money. Overall, this game is very fun, but be prepared to have to mess with graphics settings.

TLDR:
Pros: Very open ended with how you can assassinate your target, with amazing stealth gameplay and great AI
Cons:Random crashes every once and a while, and unstable framerate on high setting even with a 1660 TI.
