Hey There,

I'm a 40 year old High School History Teacher with a passion for Military/Ancient/Medieval/Modern History and Archaeology. My background is in Archaeology and Aviation.

I'm a qualified Archaeologist and I made the jump into Teaching (History, Geography and Science), I'm loving my new job right now! Good pay, great staff & students, lots of holidays for gaming and I get paid to talk about what I love, History!

My passion is for Military History, especially Ancient Republican Rome (Punic Wars) and World War II (the Eastern Front). I spend my spare time (when not gaming) between reading about Military/Ancient History, reading Warhammer 30k/40k novels or collecting and painting Historical Miniatures and Warhammer 40k. I have armies for Flames of War 15mm WWII, Bolt Action 28mm WWII, Black Powder 10mm, Hail Caesar 28mm Ancients and Battletech.

The current miniatures project is based around a WWII Division of 101st Airborne and an SS Panzergrenadier Division. I've also got a Roman Republican Legion on the painting table, as well as the Dark Imperium & Indomitus 40k box set. As of late 2022, I have just bought a Mars 3 Resin 3D Printer, so we shall see how deep that rabbit hole is...

When not being the archetypal geek, I enjoy my sport, especially Cricket, Rugby and Football (Soccer), be it watching or playing. I spend a ton of time watching YouTube, gaming channels, politics and documentaries. Anything Sci-Fi will always catch my eye (Stargate SG1 and The Expanse are my favourites), as well as Fantasy (Game of Thrones & House of the Dragon), historical and military or conflict based shows.

I have two sons, Wolfe is 12 and Talon is 11, I also have a daughter, Adeline is 7, they are all growing up too fast, they enjoy gaming as well. I hope to turn them all into mini Geeks and that they all follow in their old man's footsteps and embrace Gaming and Geekdom, much to the annoyance of my wife... As it stands, I am succeeding in my endeavours!

Well that is pretty much all there is to know about me, I live in the Barossa Valley (one of Australia's best and oldest Wine regions), so I like to drink wine and be merry, I'm also up for a LAN or Wargames night anytime! Game on everyone!
