the hi-c game

yea its really cool it reminds me of my childhood in the slums where i had to fight other kids for food once i punched a guy so hard he fell on his head started bleeding and died shortly after also my mom was a narc addict and my dad beat her constantly but i really like the game

genuinely RGG's absolute peak, they've always put lots of love and care into their games but it really shines here! felt like i was playing yakuza for the first time again and i love it, hopefully they'll contuine this franchise

this game is the most unique experience i've had in a long while, after finishing it (finally) here are my thoughts:
the core gameplay is very smooth, feels very rewarding to play and is addictive in a way! always ended up going back and tried to beat my times to the point where i was staying up till 4am. its filled with alot of weapons that have their own abilities that enhance your movement. i think they are kinda lacking in the amount considering how long the game is and the second half of the game feeling very repetitive due to only 1 new card being added to every chapter. adding a couple more to the mix would have fixed this issue! i do also wish the shooting was used more, most of the times during levels you just use a card for its ability and rarely are the levels reliant on shooting.

dont bother with the story, its very weak and its clear it wasnt the main focus of the game, but i cant help but feel like a big opportunity was missed with it. the first half of the game barely progresses the story at all and its just decided that everything only gets explained to you at the end. i still skipped most of it though because its really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring

and i dont need to comment on the writing, its been said a thousand times but yes it is really that bad. voice acting is really great though!

this game is... okay, it feels very unfinished and lazy with tons of reused assets. im pretty sure only half the game is original content
BUT i still had alot of fun with it, and even though it is kind of a mixed bag, i'd say its still worth playing for the combat and music alone. (dont buy it for the full price though)

HOLY CRAP
this game was awesome, i just finished it and im still shaking from that ending!! (i havent gotten around to the other ones, but im pretty sure i got the true ending)
amazing soundtrack, amazing story, and amazing visuals!
definitely one of my favorite games of all time!!
