The family of Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala has questioned why initial toxicology tests carried out on his body did not include checking for carbon monoxide.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) revealed in August that potentially fatal levels of carbon monoxide had been found in his blood.

Sala, 28, died when the plane he was travelling in crashed in January.

His family's lawyer was speaking at a pre-inquest review in Bournemouth.

Barrister Matthew Reeve asked for blood samples to be kept until the inquest has been concluded.

Mr Reeve told the senior coroner for Dorset, Rachael Griffin, there was an "unexplained question" as to why the blood tests detecting carbon monoxide were not carried out until June.

"Why was it not felt necessary to test for carbon monoxide in February but it was at some... later time?" asked Mr Reeve.

Gems became a Protestant evangelical minister in 1946 and remained one for the rest of his life. Christine Keeler, the former showgirl who became the centre of a scandal that helped bring down a Conservative government, has died.

The ex-model, whose involvement in the Profumo Affair rocked 1960s Britain, died at the age of 75, her family has said.

Her story was immortalised, first in the pages of the tabloid newspapers at a time when they were read by tens of millions, and later on screen in the 1989 film Scandal.

The affair she had with then-secretary of state for war John Profumo in the early 1960s scandalised Britain as it emerged she had also had relations with a Russian defence attache at the same time.

The fact that the revelations emerged at the height of the Cold War and led the Cabinet minister to lie to Parliament damaged the Government of Harold MacMillan, and led to Harold Wilson's Labour being elected soon after.

Her son Seymour Platt confirmed the news of Keeler's death on Facebook.

Train fares in Britain will go up by an average of 3.4% from 2 January.
The increase, the biggest since 2013, covers regulated fares, which includes season tickets, and unregulated fares, such as off-peak leisure tickets.
The Rail Delivery Group admitted it was a "significant" rise, but said that more than 97% of fare income went back into improving and running the railway.
A passenger group said the rise was "a chill wind" and the RMT union called it a "kick in the teeth" for travellers.
The rise in regulated fares had already been capped at July's Retail Prices Index inflation rate of 3.6%.
The fare increase is above the latest Consumer Prices Index inflation figure of 3%, which was a five-and-a-half year high.
The average rise in Scotland is 3.2% - below the national average.
A Scotrail spokesman told the BBC that 85% of their revenue comes from fares regulated by the Scottish government.
