invasive anti-cheats often run at the kernal level of your machine. (don´t know if smite does)
Kernal level anti-cheats are considered invasive because they allow the owning company to have kernal access to your computer, including all thats on it.
Usually, trusting companies is never a good idea, but generally they wont care enough to mess with you, though having the anti-cheat in itself on your device is a security vulnerability, as any backdoor of the anti-cheat gives any attacker kernal access in your system.
Generally, I would stay away from all anti-cheats like this, though some companies are signifcantly more trustworthy for such, both in terms of not using your data and preventing security vulnerabilities.
I have only been playing since S3. I just hope people would stop spending their money on this game, but then again, one look and you'll know who their targets are.
The whole company is a joke. It's sad that most players don't see it and still support their works. Sunk cost fallacy (time) is the only reason I play now, one more push and I'd definitely quit. I don't even play everyday but every time I play it's all frustration. Where have all the fun go?
You cannot even post something like this on their Reddit page! They remove any post that criticize their game, whether constructive or not. I guess that's what happens when everybody thinks your game is fucking garbage.
