I beat this game in under 1 hour 30 minutes.

Shortest Odyssey Ever.

This was a repurchase for me when I bought an RE Collection on sale, as I've originally played it on PS4. Resident Evil 6 doesn't quite tow a line as much as it exists as a game that is both terrible and great at the same time, but you probably already knew that, it is <CURRENT YEAR> after all.

If you have a friend who you like to watch ♥♥♥♥♥♥ action movies with, force them to play this with you. Buy it on sale for cheap and you probably won't regret it.

Oh and the port's not bad in my experience, just make sure to play in windowed mode or you might crash on startup.

[EDIT: I have now switched to playing this game on an Acer Aspire 5 and it runs fine, I still kinda don't recommend the game despite me playing it a lot, but that's due more of a lack of Quality Of Life that's pretty prevalent through the game and especially in Chapter 11. I like the game but it really annoys me at the same time, I'm only playing it because I'm playing through the whole 13 series and I want to move to another game lol]

Time for my first Steam review...

Nice game, I would have finished it if it didn't crash repeatedly at the end of chapter 7 because I'm trying to run it on an RX 5700 XT. Yes, I'm using FF13Fix, yes I'm running in windowed mode at 720p, yes I turned off Vsync and moved a d3d9.dll into my install folder among other things just to avoid crashes in the first chapter. This method of "fixing" the game is really more just like trying to wrap a flimsy rubber band around it to stop it from coming apart in my experience, I got as far as the end of chapter 7 before that rubber band snapped and I just can't progress any further. I've also been met with repeated issues that led to me having to restart the game after every save just to postpone the memory leaks stopping the game loading pieces of the geometry and character models and ruining the cutscenes, both FMV and otherwise.

I'll probably keep trying more things to get it to work, but I don't recommend this experience to anyone but the most masochistic of people. If you're running it on an RX 5000 series, turn away and buy an actual functioning game.
