Wanna know how to do a remaster?
Take the entire thing (minus the level design), scrap it down completely and build it back up to today's standards.
This is a perfect example of that and proves that platforming adventures of the past still hold up today if done right.

Do you like anime?
If no, stay away.
If yes, wait for a sale.

The pros:
The actual fighting gameplay.
(Fun, smooth, flashy & entertaining)

The roster of fun Shonen Jump characters.
(Ranging from about 40 characters across several anime/manga)

The ability to make your own custom 3D anime character that you can use as a playable fighter.

The cons:
Literally EVERYTHING else!

The rest of the game is "The Room" of fighter games.

The story is pretty boring and feels like a stupid filler that just doesn't end.

A big overworld hub that is mostly empty and unnecessary. (Thank goodness that they added fast travel)

Animations, textures and models outside of combat are just downright sloppy.

Mouths don't move or even flap during text based cutscenes, and even in the ones that do have spoken Japanese dialogue, their facial expressions barely change. Oh, and Ryuk talks, but has no voice.

Plus, everyone looks like they were in a massive oily o*gy and never took a freakin shower.

I kinda regret buying this game.

If you own a PC and own Skyrim, there is something wrong with you. Go see a doctor.

So this game is basically just an epic time waster with explosions, goats, glitches, goats, jet packs, penguins, goats, cars, skateboards, aliens, goats, deadmau5, roller coasters, zombies, dolphins, trampolines, goats, elephants, tall goats.
In short, if this game is ever on sale, buy it immediately and play it among a group of friends and die of laughter.

Great game for mindless entertainment, terrible game for story driven adventure.
8/10 would recommend.
