If this is ever more than £5 and you aren't ready for a BF experience making you wish for another BF game, don't bother. Otherwise, for £5... Spawn in, run to the point nearest to the enemy spawn and hide in a container for 15 minutes. ♥♥♥♥ around with the wingsuit or the grapple and take it easy. Those are the reasons to buy this game for £5.

Otherwise, for £5 it's a bare minimum battlefield game with some odd choices but overall some funny things here and there. Still can do funny battlefield things but bare in mind, the worst parts of a battlefield game do shine through and it feels like all of them do at the same time. Spawn camping, heli enthusiasts, not great map design, and its one of those BF games with awful infantry options to deal with vehicles. Also, no matter what size game I've played, there's a really limited amount of civilian/light vehicles to just get around in. The maps feel uninspired in terms of gameplay or just have weird flaws. I've been able to have fun on them but there's been no standout maps that I'd call a favourite.

The friends list doesn't want to work half of the time, requiring signing in and out of EA just to play the game with people. Sometimes you'll just queue into dead servers too. It'll push its paid cosmetics onto you when it can. I've gotten some pretty nasty stutter, mid firefight too sometimes.

"No Jump" is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen in a game. For it to last 20/30 seconds, it means you've lost the round basically unless you both have it.

Quite a few cards are like this (Titan, Heartless even) in that you have to play a boring set of meta rather than fun/skilful cards since I feel like some of these cards are 'oh you instantly win this round' unless you magically have the perfect setup to counter it effectively. A counter that could easily be countered by the same RNG. It's like old NOED in Dead by Daylight where it's going to shape up to "oh just do the unfun thing (cleanse all totems) to counter it you idiot" rather than accepting it's an poor if not obnoxious thing to play around/with.

For an arena shooter to have so many barriers in the way of movement, aiming, shooting and even game sense is a bad decision in my opinion.

Otherwise... The visual style is great. Character voices can be grating to some but I don't really mind. Netcode is a bit in the middle for me. The character perks offer interesting trade offs to match play-styles. Movement is simple and decent. Had fun on all the maps. Using a Fandom wiki in 2023 is also terrible for multiple reasons.

Overall, wouldn't buy as you're going to throw in the towel once you get matches where this meta is forced and consistent.

Not even Joseph Goebbels could successfully market the DLC releases for this game. I can't believe this game ISN'T open like Sims 3 was. Both run awfully anyway. No other video game captures "one step forward, two steps back" like this game.
