Only instances I know of internet causing straight crashes with gtav have all been malware/adware related - including supposed 'freeware' things like various download managers/etc, low bandwidth and throttling can also do it too, and in super rare instances - the cause can be FROM R*(and that normally affects everyone for a time). The NAT can 'sometimes' be an issue (most likely if you are strict).... but.. I've never see it cause crashes (or bluescreens for that matter) - mostly just disconnections/everyone leaves lobby in 5 mins. Firewall rules or port issues (and hosts file for that matter) could also cause some of that behaviour in the past - but generally you'd have a more specific error than a generic crash. Anyway

It really shouldn't matter if fivem is installed or not in regards to affecting gtav. As i understand it - it is installed in a completely seperate location, leaving gtav in a completely vanilla state. If they've gone and changed that - fivem forums would be the place to ask. If you've installed it over the top of steam gtav (if that is even possible) - that is way wrong. Without errorcodes, logs (and some more fivem people have posted recently with crash issues - and all the files in use were old versions), or knowing background programs running - who knows. The launcher update has made gtav rather unstable as is for some users, and can conflict with certain background programs, and other games/certain apps can actually break gtav - until a pc restart too.
