Intro / Summary
"Casual" gamer; but "casual" in the sense of "not every day" and also "not charging headlong/blindly into battle/bulletstorms ".. but when I DO sit down with a game, I might be _hours_.. ;)

Huge "open world" fan.
Enjoy RPG s (Ultima/Forgotten Realms/Elder Scrolls; even rogue-types; but not much "strategic", not JRPG, and prefer coop/PvE MMORPG)
.. and the occasional FPS ..

Worlds:
I can happily enjoy "fantasy" settings, but dig "sci-fi" much more. Cyberpunk, Steampunk, "western" are pretty cool, too. Dystopia can be fun.
SPACE is ALWAYS good. :D

I like "exploring" worlds, finding the nooks n crannies, the "hidden areas", the "secret rooms" etc.. I like "going the wrong way" e.g. instead of leading a squad of 4 straight up the middle, I leave 3 "safe", and take 1 round the periphery of a zone, sniping/clearing opportune targets in an inward spiral: dubbed my "Nautilus Maneuver" , and picking up the loot... (It's a bit "unfair": game designers place enemies in spots facing your "normal" approach line.. so when I sneak up behind them, they're a much easier kill..)

Some older faves:
Ultima series (1 .. 4, *6*, *7*; Martian Dreams; *Underworld*)
Autoduel
Fallout 2 !!
Tomb Raider series - played all of them since the first!
Saint's Row 2
Battlefield 2 -- destructible environment firsts!
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Neverwinter Nights
Eye of the Beholder
Fable
SSI AD&D classics like Dark Sun
... add more if I think of them...
Bad Blood, Space Rogue ...

If #Unturned is made by a TEEN, (s/)he(?) has done as exceptionally well, with good execution and rather balanced gameplay options.
There's a chance that elements might get a tad repetitive, but the range of options allows a lot of change-up to counter this.

(Before starting a game, check out Advanced settings; be sure to compare the 3 levels' DEFAULTS before changing anything, so you know what it is you're affecting! Tutorial is handy, but doesn't carry over (skills) into the main game. Also, v sadly, there's NO SAVE!)

taking an extended peek at this Creativerse thing, a more-than-obvs Minecraft clone, except you can jump 2 blocks up normally, and instead of thumping trees and the ground to get wood and dirt, you're already equipped with a resource-collecting powerglove thingy... Curious..
